CHAPTER FIVE

8:20 AM

Two weeks later...

"Morning (Y/n)!" Two of your female classmates greeted you like usual with smiles but you just looked at them and waved back.

They didn't mind you though. It was normal for you to greet them with just a wave and say nothing else.

"MORNIN' (Y/NNN)!" Your energetic classmate, Miku greeted you as she dropped her head on your table and on top of your book then averted her face to yours.

"Hi Miku" You greeted her in a bland tone then gently pushed her face away from your book.

She pouted her lips with her cheeks puffing out, jokingly putting on a offended look.

"What are you doinggg??" She asked while resting her elbows on your table.

"Reading"

Miku pouted again. Taking a few steps to her seat, she threw her school bag on the chair as she talked to you. "Is there not a day where your eyes aren't glued to a book?"

As Miku was busy rambling about how you never say anything but more than a few words to her everyday, Shinichiro entered the classroom and halted at his seat.

"Good morning (Y/n)!" He greeted and grinned softly at you.

"Oh, good morning Sano" You turned your head and greeted him back. "You're here quite early today"

"Haha yeah! Grandpa was tired of getting calls from the school about me showing up to school late so he kicked me out of bed this morning" He explained while taking his seat.

Suddenly, you realized that everything became silent. The chitter chatting at the back and front of the class went quiet.

You looked around and saw everyone's eyes on you and Shinichiro.

For some reason, they all looked... Shocked? Even Miku had her jaw wide open.

"What's up with everyone?" You asked Shinichiro, making him looked around as well but he just shrugged his shoulders. "Beats me"

The teacher finally showed up and everyone returned to their seats.

12:00 PM
The school bell rung for lunch. Everyone took out their bento boxes and so did you.

You opened the lid of the bento box and prepared your utensils.
