CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

Walking to your seat, you put your bags and the folders on the desk but then noticed the other 3 folders. Yuki actually finished them.

You stared at it for a second then read the small note that was stuck on it.

'Spent all night working on them but I was still able to finish it! You're welcome!!

A sigh escaped past your lips as you crumbled the paper and threw it into the trash.

You really wanted to go and thank him but Shinichiro's words just kept replaying in your head.

Just as you were about to take a seat, a female colleague stopped by your desk. "Oh (Y/n) you're here just in time, the boss said that he wants to meet you in his office" She informed and you nodded your head.

You picked up all the folders and went straight to Mr. Masuta's office.

As soon as you entered the room, you just stood still as you met eyes with Yuki.

"Oh you're here too? What a coincidence!" He gave you a wide grin as he leaned over from his chair. The reports and documents that he had offered to finish for you were sitting on Mr. Masuta's desk.

Without saying a word nor even looking at him, you put the folders on the desk and sat down on the seat next to him.

It made him quite confused but he just ignored it and turned to the boss.

"So for the past year I've been watching after the two of you during work." Mr. Masuta started in such a serious quite threatening tone, making you and Yuki nervous.

'Argh shit... Did we do something wrong?' You thought to yourself.

A brief moment of silence engulfed the room but then suddenly, your boss laughed.

"You both are insanely incredible!" He blurted out.

"Huh?" You and Yuki looked up at him with brows raised.

"Check this out!" Mr. Masuta took out a graph and showed it to you. "Just 2 months after you two started working here, our sells have gone from here to up here!" He pointed from bottom to up.

Both you and Yuki stared in starstruck with your jaws wide open.

"That's not the only good news!" The boss seems pretty excited, even more than you. "Japan's top agency contacted me last night and said that they're offering a big reward if you accept the project that they will be assigning!"

"What kind of reward?" Yuki asked curiously.

"Money of course!"

Immediately once you heard the word 'money', you already wanted to leave.

"You both just need to sign this contract! So what do you think?" Mr. Masuta pushed the contract to you.
