CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

2:30 PM
Sitting at a table alone at a small cafe, your fingers typing on the keyboard as you took a sip of your coffee.

A man came running towards you and quickly took a seat on the chair across the table.

"I'm so sorry! I had to bring my siblings to school!" Yuki apologized for being late, breathing heavily trying to catch his breath. "Should we start on the project?"

"It's fine, I already started before you" You exclaimed.

"Really? Can I see?"

You didn't answer him for a few seconds since you were busy typing but after you were done with a part, you rotated your laptop to him.

He scanned your work and then looked up to you with sparkles glimmering in his eyes.

"(Y/n) this is amazing!" He stated and you giggled.

"Well we won't know if it's good enough until we finish it. Why don't you go grab a drink then we'll discuss about your ideas?" You suggested and he happily agreed.

Since today was Saturday, you and Yuki didn't have to go to work. So you two made a plan and met up at a cafe just a block away from your workplace to start on the project.

You stretched your arms up in the air then checked the time. 6:50 PM.

You've only finished 5% of the project since there were a lot to do. But it's due at the end of the month so you had plenty of time to finish the rest.

"It's getting pretty late, we should probably go" Yuki said as he closed his laptop and began to pack his bags. "Thanks for your hard work today!" He grinned at you and you returned a smile to him.

"I'll be leaving first, is that alright?" You asked and he nodded.

"Get home safe!" He said as he waved a goodbye to you.

You were gonna call Shinichiro to ask if he could pick you up but you didn't really want to bother him. Especially after last night. The house isn't that far anyway so you just returned home by foot.

Once you got back, you were exhausted. All you wanted to do now was take a shower and go to bed, but god had other plans.

Taking off your shoes and putting them on the racks, you entered the house and once you got to the living room, you were greeted by Shinichiro who was sitting on the couch just watching the TV.

Immediately once he saw you, he turned off the TV and got up from his spot.

"Where have you been?" He asked with a blank expression.

"I was at a cafe, working" You replied as you stood still.

"With who?"

You really didn't want to tell him but of course, you couldn't lie to him as well. "Yuki.." You said in a tired tone.

"I fucking knew it." He tightened his jaw. "YOU'RE STILL GOING OUT TO SEE HIM EVEN AFTER WHAT WE JUST TALKED ABOUT LAST NIGHT?!" He began raising his voice.

"Shin please... Could we just talk about this later?" You mumbled.

"I'VE BEEN WAITING HERE FOR YOU TO COME BACK HOME AND YOU'RE THERE HANGING OUT WITH THAT 'YUKI' GUY—"

"CAN YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP?! I WASN'T SCREWING AROUND WITH HIM! I JUST GOT BACK FROM WORKING SO COULD YOU CUT ME SOME SLACK AND GIVE ME A BREAK?!?" You raised your voice back at him and this time, things really took a turn.

A vein popped out of his head as he stared at you.

It all escalated to another argument between the two of you.

All his assumption and all your objection woke up the entire house.

It only ended after 45 minutes when you finally noticed the two children peeking their heads out from the walls.

Shinichiro left the house again just like did yesterday.

At this point, you couldn't even open your eyes anymore. You just laid on the couch after Shinichiro went out and slept there.

The Sano family tried to talk to you but you just asked them nicely to leave you alone. They couldn't do anything so they just went back to their bedroom.
