You both soon came to a realization that you two were the only people left at the mall besides the workers there. You two had too much fun that you didn't even realize people were leaving because it was almost closing time.
And now it's raining heavily, there's no way you could go back home.
You were deep in your thoughts, thinking about how you'll return home but was then snapped back to reality when you felt your arm get pulled forward.
You looked up and realized it was Shinichiro.
He pulled the both of you under the rain and started running.
"Shinichiro what the fu-!" You were about to scold him then he turned around and pulled you in close to him while laughing like a child.
You paused and stared at him.
His smile, it was so bright.
You've never seen such sight before.
There was just something so different about this guy.
So different that it sets him apart from other people.
The way he acts around you, treats you, sees you. It's so different.
Ever since he came into your life, everything changed.
You've never met anybody like him before, but for some reason...
you're glad you did.
A smile crept up on your face as you began to laugh alongside with him.
Dancing under the rain, completely soaking wet but you didn't mind.
The whole plaza was filled with loud screams and laughter.
While you were running around with Shinichiro, you took a wrong step and accidentally crashed into him, causing the both of you to slip and fall to the ground.
But instead of being in pain or anything from that harsh fall, you two just bursted out laughing uncontrollably.
He helped you get back up on your feet and then held your hand as he ran through the rain to the direction of his house.
Not so long after, you finally arrived to the Sano's house while still in a laughing state.
Shinichiro opened the front door and was immediately greeted by grandpa, Mikey and Emma who were in the living room watching the TV.
"Welcome back home- OH DEAR HEAVENS!" He spat out his tea upon seeing the two of you completely drenched looking like ghosts straight out of a horror movie.
After showering, you entered the living room to where Shinichiro was resting his back against the couch with one knee up to his chest and the other flat on the floor, and a heater in front of him.
"Would it be okay if I stay here for a week?" You asked as you walked to him.
"Of course, you're free to stay over whenever you want" He gave you a small smile, "Are your parents not home?"
You crouched down and sat next to him as the warmth from the heater began to warm up your body. "Yeah, they're overseas for work and won't be back till the end of this week. I don't really like staying at home alone"
"Do they leave home often?" He asked.
"Mhm... It's been like this since I was a kid. They're doctors so it makes sense for them to not come home for a day or even a few days" You let out a deep sigh and then a smile slowly formed on your face as you tilted to the side and rested your head on Shinichiro's shoulder, hugging your knees as you pressed it against your chest.
He flinched then turned to you with a slight blush on his face.
"But it's fine. Because now, I don't need to worry about ever being all alone again." You stated. "Thank you for everything."
He gazed at you for another minute, then turned back to the heater. "Yeah" He smiled softly.
After a brief moment of silence, Shinichiro gulped up the lump in his throat finally built up the courage to tell you.
"(Y/n), I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now" He started, "I know we've only known each other for a month... But what I'm trying to say is that I-"
He averted his gaze to you and then realized that you were already asleep.
He stopped talking and just froze in the position he was in.
Examining your features, a smile formed past his face. "I guess I'll just have to tell you another time" He chuckled to himself.
Grabbing the blanket on the couch, he unfolded it then placed it over the both of you.
"Goodnight, (Y/n)" He said then closed his eyes, slowly drifting off asleep with you next to him.
