CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

"(Y/n) do you know where my— Fuck!" Shinichiro came running in the kitchen then slipped and fell on his bottom.

"Shin you idiot!" You turned off the stove then quickly rushed over to him. "Be careful! You could've gotten hurt!" You scolded him as you helped him up.

"Yeah sorry... But do you know where my keys are?! I'm running late for work!" He asked in a hurry state.

"Didn't you keep it in the drawer in our room?"

"I already checked but I couldn't find it!"

"Did you check the pants that you wore yesterday? Maybe you forgot it in the pockets"

"Oh yeah!" He quickly sprinted to the laundry room then after a minute he came out with the keys and ran past you to put on his shoes. "I'm off to work now!" He said and was just about to run out the front door but was then pulled back.

"Hold up!" You rotated him to face you then grabbed his collar and pulled him down and kissed him on the lips.

"Drive safely, alright? I love you" You smiled at him as you parted lips.

He nodded his head with a faint blush spread across his face and leaned it then planted another kiss on your lips before running out of the door.

"Bye (Y/n)!! I love you too!" He waved both his arms in the air, giggling as he ran to his motorbike. He looked like a child at that moment if you have to be honest.

After he left, you retreated back into the house and went to Mrs. Sano's bedroom.

You knocked on the door before quietly entering the room.

"Good morning ma'am!" You greeted her.

She sat up on her bed and smiled gently at you. "Good morning sweetheart"

"I'm about to go get dressed and go out later. I've already made breakfast so is it okay if you wake Emma, Mikey and grandpa up?" You asked and she nodded.

"Of course, where are you going?"

"Just to the cafe a block away from my workplace, I'm gonna meet up with a colleague to work on a project" You replied.

"When are you coming home?"

"Maybe around 10 PM?" You then chuckled, "You're asking quite a lot of questions today ma'am!"

She laughed alongside with you, "I'm just worried about you that's all!"

"I'll get back home safe don't worry" You reassured her then exited the room to go get dressed.

After you were done, you went to the kitchen and only found grandpa and Mrs. Sano there.

"Emma and Mikey aren't awake yet?" You asked, peeking half of your body out from the wall.

"Emma's taking a shower and Manjiro said 5 more minutes" Grandpa said as he sipped on his coffee.

"Well I'm gonna go now, bye!" You said your goodbyes then turned around to leave.

"Stay safe!"

You arrived at the cafe, looking around the place to find Yuki.

"(Y/n)! Over here!" A voice called out for you.

You looked to the corner left at the back of the cafe and finally found him.

You quickly went to his table and took a seat across from him.

"So how's our progress?" You asked and he began to type on his laptop.

"We've finished 35% of it" Yuki exclaimed as he scrolled the screen. "We can actually finish this at the end of next week!"

"Oh and did you call the agency to ask about the error in page 245?"

"Yeah, they fixed it up for me yesterday. Don't worry about it though, I've already finished it last night"

"Great! Then let's continue from page 278"

11:00 PM

After a long day of working and taking short breaks, it was time for you two to rest.

"Phew! Now 42% is finished!" You stretched your arms out in the air, feeling relief wash over your body.

"Good work today! Don't sleep too late alright? We'll meet up again next weekend" Yuki reached his hand out to you and gave you a fist bump.

"Goodnight Yuki!" You waved 'bye' to him as he left the cafe.

You stayed at your seat for another 5 minutes just scrolling on your phone before packing your stuff and getting ready to leave.

But just as you stepped foot outside, your phone started buzzing.

You took a quick glimpse at your phone and realized it was Mrs. Sano.

A confused expression formed on your face as you picked up the call and placed your phone next to your ear.

"Hello, this is (Y/n)!" You greeted her but got no response for a second.

"Hello? Ma'am why are you calling? What happened-"

"Shinichiro he's..."
