FINAL — CHAPTER FORTY-NINE

8 years later...
Halting in front of the gravestone, you crouched down and sat on the ground.

You placed a cola can in front of you and an envelope next to it.

"Happy anniversary, Shin" You said and smiled softly at the gravestone. "How are you?" You asked and after a minute of silence, you continued.

"I read the letter you left for me. Wakasa gave it to me right after a woke up at the hospital" You added.

"Everyone is doing great. Wakasa and Benkei owns a gym and Takeomi also has his own company. It's going amazing so far! Your mother and grandpa are doing okay as well, your siblings are taking good care of them— Oh, talking about your siblings"

Your smile slightly widened. "They've been united just like you always wanted"

"I reopened your motorcycle shop. I was planning to continue your shop alone but Izana and Mikey volunteered to help me out so now they're working with me. Emma got married with the guy she likes. His name is Ken Ryuguji or— Draken since that's what everyone calls him." You chuckled, "They have a daughter of their own"

A brief moment of silence engulfed you as the wind blowed your way. The leaves on the trees gently hitting against each other as they waved along the wind.

"This is the future you've always wanted... Right?" You asked, "A future where Mikey's all grown up and healthy... And Emma still having her older brothers with her"

"I did it, Shin"

You grinned as you stood up from your spot. "Well the three are waiting for me, I'll be leaving now"

And with that, you began walking back to where Izana, Mikey and Emma were waiting at when suddenly—

"(Y/n)!"

A familiar voice called out to you, making you turn around and you were absolutely stunned by what you witnessed.

There, standing in front of the gravestone, was the ghost of Shinichiro.

He was looking to your direction with his hands in his pockets as he smiled softly at you.

"Thank you for everything"

He said as he slowly faded into the air.

You smiled one last time and nodded your head to him before jogging to the three siblings.

"Jeez what took you so long (Y/n)-san!?" Mikey complained as the four of you started walking along the side of the road.

You didn't respond to his question, instead you just laughed cheekily which confused him.

"Why are you laughing?! What's so funny!?!" Mikey asked curiously.

"I think she's high on drugs" Izana jokingly said then received a harsh whack on the head from Emma as you continued laughing hysterically.
