CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

6 Months Later...
Averting his gaze at the groom, Wakasa nudged Shinichiro's arm.

"Dude what are you getting so nervous for?" Wakasa pointed out, noticing the sweat sliding down his forehead.

"Who wouldn't be nervous?! I'm about to get married!" Shinichiro said in a whisper-shouting tone.

Wakasa, Takeomi and Benkei were all standing in a line at Shinichiro's side as his groomsmen while on the opposite side were the maids of honor.

They've only been waiting for a few minutes but to Shinichiro, it felt like hours.

After getting rejected the 20th time years ago he thought that he'll grow old and die alone but here he is now, about to get married.

The music has begun to play as the door was pushed open.

Everyone averted their attention to the figure entering the church.

Shinichiro's lips parted, seeing his soon-to-be wife slowly walking down the aisle in her long elegant white dress.

"Here she comes, get ready" Wakasa whispered.

Shinichiro's heart pounded against his chest as she got closer and closer, straightening his posture.

As soon as she reached the altar, he looked into her face, a warm and gentle smile was right in front of him.

"We will now start the ceremony" The priest started.

"Sano Shinichiro, do you take (Y/n) (L/n) to be your lawful wedded wife?"

"I do"

"Do you promise to love and cherish her, in sickness and in health? For richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her, for so long as you both shall live?"

Again, Shinichiro said "I do"

The priest then shifted to you. "(Y/n) (L/n), do you take Sano Shinichiro to be your lawful wedded husband?"

"Yes father, I do"

"Do you promise to love and cherish him, in sickness and in health? For richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her, for so long as you both shall live?"

"I do"

Now, facing the two of you, the priest flipped a page from his book and continued, "Do you together promise in the presence of your friends and family that you will at all times and in all circumstances, conduct yourselves toward one another as becomes husband and wife? Do you together promise you will love, cherish and respect one another throughout the years?"

A genuine smile crept on the both of your faces, finalizing your answer. "We do"

For a few seconds, everything was quiet. The priest nodded his head and smiled. "You may now share your kiss" He said.
