(10 days after Rap Devil dropped)

Marshall POV

"Rhianna just hit me with a text; Last night I left hickeys on her neck?!" Valentina surprised me when she flung the shower curtain open all pissed the fuck off. "What the fuck is that shit?!"

It was obvious Val was furious because she hardly ever cusses; she meant business! I got out to quickly dry off with my fiancé already nowhere to be found. I raced to pull clothes on and rushed throughout the house to find her.

"Val?! Babe?!," I looked in the garage to find her car still parked, so at least she hadn't left. "Val?!"

I knew she must be downstairs and when I descended the stairs to find Valentina in the den, she was scribbling away in her journal. Probably some nasty shit about me.

"Babe, it's not even a big deal. It was just a clever way to open a diss track."

"So, you used to hook up with Rhianna?"

I sighed heavily and carefully weighed my words, but I couldn't lie to Val, "Four or five years ago when we were on The Monster Tour, I fucked her twice. But that wasn't why I used her name on the track and Rhi knows that."

Val glared at me through stern eyes, "Awesome."

"Val, this don't mean nothing!" I understood that she was hurt, but it wasn't a big deal to me. "It wasn't anything like what you and I have. You're my girl for life, we're getting married in three days! I'm picking your family up from the airport in an hour!" I desperately took her hand in mine, "Babe, what do you want me to say?"

Valentina threw my hand aside and stood up from the couch to scream at me, "I want you to say "I love Valentina! She's my girl!""

Val stayed at the house while I went to pick up her guests from the airport. I made sure to tell her I loved her, and she told me the same even though we needed to have a serious talk when I got back. I took the Escalade to transport Val's family because it accommodated eight people. Val's little mini car is small as shit.

"Hi Marshall, so nice of you to fly us out. I'm touched by your kindness." Val's Aunt Rosie drew me in for a hug and kissed my cheek. I shook her uncle's hand and greeted everyone before we began packing up the Escalade.

"No kids this weekend?" I asked her cousin Maria, noticing that it was only her this time.

"They stayed home with Rob. I needed a weekend to myself."

Sierra and her family were there as well and when the car was fully packed like sardines, we started the journey back to Val and my home so they could see where we lived.

I had to start conversation in the quiet car to keep the vibe going, "There's a hotel about five minutes from our house that we rented a couple rooms out for guests to stay in. I have a couple people flying in for the wedding as well. You guys could stay there if you want or there's a few extra rooms in my home that you're welcome to, it's whatever's more comfortable for you."

Sierra spoke up straight away, "Can we stay in the same room I did when I visited?"

I nodded my head, "You're Val's best friend, you can stay wherever you want."

"Shit, we're not fancy people. You could probably fit us out in the tool shed and we'd make do." Everyone laughed at Sierra's quick wit.

Val POV

I acted silly earlier. It seemed extremely important at the time, but when I listened to it again and realized just how brilliant Killshot was and how much everyone respected Marshall for doing it, all that resentment was forgotten.

"Hey!" Sierra's kids ran through the door and my little girls came running to meet them. Cassaundra and Bella showed them around a little, then they went in the yard to play.

I exchanged pleasantries and hugs with my family as they entered our home.

"I'll show you all where the wedding is going to be." I led them out by the pool, which was already almost fully decorated, then through the pool house which was where the food would be on display.

"This is quite a place you two have. Thank you again so much for having us." My uncle shook Marshall's hand.

"I want to show you something." I broke my aunt away from the others.

We walked back outside, down a walkway that led to the side of the huge house.

"Oh!" My aunt put her hands to her mouth, "You planted them!"

"Yep! They bloomed straight away."

"They're gorgeous!" Aunt Rosie bent down to the smell the aroma of the bright red hibiscus flowers she had given me in Florida, then rose to look me in the eye with a hidden smile, "Your mother doesn't know what she is missing."

Marshall's brother and his family came over later in the day as well as his three daughters. We wanted to have a night together as a family before the real wedding festivities of the weekend began.

As soon as he got the chance, Marshall stole me away to the kitchen for some privacy.

"Hey, you good baby?" He put his arms around my waist to draw me to him, "I want this weekend to be happy; I didn't mean to upset you with that shit earlier."

"Let's just forget about it." I smiled and kissed him, "I admit, I overreacted. Let's get back to our guests honey. We're getting married."

We sealed it with one last passionate kiss and made our way back out to the patio holding hands.

"Hey, how about that Killshot? It's up to 38 million views!" Sierra spoke enthusiastically, "I listened to it three times all the way through. It's great."

"Thank you. That punk had it coming."

"I watched it a few times too. You're brilliant." I stroked Marshall's hand as his eyes hit mine, "And funny." I giggled.

"Yeah?" His blue eyes shined with relief, and I nodded through a smile.

"The line about the man bun!" Sierra cut in laughing.

"I know, or that was three albums ago." I laughed, "oh, and the part about Diddy! What were you thinking?"

Marshall chuckled as he kissed me, "Did you see Dre's reaction online?"

"Yeah, I watched a couple of people's reactions. I saw Fifty's."

"They're both flying in for the wedding this weekend too by the way. Kendrick's gonna be here; I just heard back from Sway."

"Oh my God, now I understand why I had to sign an NDA to be here!" Sierra roared laughing, "I hope you hired extra security this weekend. Ya'll will probably have drones flying over your house and shit!"
