Val POV

"Marshall! This is amazing!"

Our destination was only two hours away by car. After our long journey, Marshall finally drove the Escalade with me, my daughters, and our luggage up a huge winding driveway to a magnificent resort. My little girls were giddy with excitement as we had never been to a fancy place like this before. Laney drove her car with Hailie and Stevie and Marshall's brother, and his family were already there waiting for us in the parking lot. Staff came out to greet us and take our luggage up to our rooms. We were the only ones there. The lot to the huge resort was vacant.

"How did you pull this off?" I turned to Marshall in astonishment.

He shrugged, "I'm Marshall Mathers baby."

We unpacked our stuff from the car and some men put it on a concierge cart to take it up to our rooms. We weren't following them upstairs though. Marshall had told us all to wear our bathing suits to be ready upon arrival. I knew whatever the surprise was would be great. I'm from the beach. I love the water!

We were at an African themed indoor waterpark called Kalahari. Beautiful African art and statues of exotic animals lined the interior, there was a gigantic fountain in the main entrance, and a spectacular fireplace that went all the way to the ceiling in the majestic lobby. The kids all started chattering and ran to the doors with excitement when we saw all the spectacular water slides through the glass walls.

"This is going to be so much fun!" I kissed Marshall and then filed into the waterpark with the rest of the family.

The atmosphere was humid and tropical plants were all around us. I had never been to such an awesome place. I was ecstatic to realize that this is where we would be staying for the next three nights!

There were a lot of mini slides and a baby pool, which is where Marshall and I hung out first to get Bella used to the water. Nathan and Ash stayed there with us for a bit with their younger son, but soon Cassaundra wanted to try the bigger slides. Ashley, and Laney came with Cassaundra and I, and we all went down one of the big water slides together in a four-seated inner tube. I'll never forget the look on my daughter's eight-year-old little face in pure joy. That might have been the most excited I've ever seen her in her entire life!

Ashley and Laney insisted I get a strawberry daiquiri with them at the swim up bar, so Stevie took Cassaundra and Bella along with her little cousins to one of the other pools there that had basketball hoops.

The girls and I talked and joked while we waited for our drinks. The bartender served our tropical mixed drinks, and then Ash and I went to find our men. Laney wanted to go with Hailie on the bigger slides.

When I got back to Marshall, I found he and his brother chilling in another hidden treasure which was the wave pool. The sun was glistening through the gigantic windows which encompassed the entire one wall and half the ceiling of the building. It was truly an immaculate place.

"I love this." I whispered in Marshall's ear as I waded up to him through the rippling water. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby."

There was music playing over speakers in the background which I hadn't really been paying attention to until Beyonce came on.

I started dancing seductively and pointing at Marshall and waving my arms in the air as I sang along with the music. Marshall just kept smirking at me through the rippling waves. I think my daiquiri was kicking in!

Marshall POV

I loved watching everyone's reactions on their faces all day. It was so satisfying that I was able to provide this level of fun and excitement for my family. My brother and I never got to experience anything like this growing up as kids. There were days back then when we barely had anything to eat.

I watched my daughters going down all the thrill rides and shrieking about how scary it was. Nate and his family had a good time and then of course, Val and her daughters. Cassaundra's face was in awe all day, and Val and I played with Bella in the baby pool for a long while. We made a good team.

In the afternoon, I watched Val drift around the lazy river with Bella sleeping in her lap for a while then went on some of the bigger rides with my daughters and Nate.

Towards the evening, everyone was starting to get hungry, so I asked the waitstaff to bring one of every appetizer on the menu and some pitchers of soda. We had a buffet of finger foods as our swimming day died down then started making our way up to our rooms for the evening. I showed Valentina where her daughters would be sleeping, and my daughters were in the same suite right across the hall. Then, I walked Val down a long corridor to our private quarters. We stopped in for a moment and Val was in awe, but I put my finger to her lips.
