~chapter eighteen~

Akita had finally arrived home. Exhausted, he slipped the white sneakers off his feet and let himself fall onto his bed with great swing.
Sleep at last, he thought to himself.
But before that could happen, he would first take a shower and eat something small for dinner.
It was a long and action-packed day, which was now coming to an end.
The young man tousled his burgundy hair as he headed for the bathroom.
"Icy water, here I come. Be ready and warm yourself up."
He had long since taken off his sports top and was wearing nothing next to the other clothes that were now carefully hanging over the edge of the bed.
With a low, tormented groan, he endured the cold water.
The blasted heating didn't work and neither did the hot water in these rooms.
Immediately after his arrival, Akita lodged a complaint with the caretaker, who immediately assured him that he would fix the whole thing.
However, the red-haired male didn't let this little thing spoil his mood and ignored the cold, which now flowed down his back and gave him goosebumps.
After reflecting on today, he was happy with his current performance but knew that despite everything, he had to improve as time went on.
His singing was quite good and he had no mistakes hitting the high notes.
However, there were always people who were better at certain things.
For example the minty haired boy.
Akita immediately remembered the way Yejun showed no problem with the rap and the words came so easily from his lips.
His lips...they were so artistically drawn...and his tongue moved so smoothly with each syllable...
Akita's thoughts stopped and he seemed upset with them himself.
"Not again."
He snorted at the words and began massaging his hair with shampoo.

Just when I thought things had calmed down a bit, my father flipped to another channel on the screen.
Of course it had to be the evening news.
"There is new information on the bank robbery case. Apparently, a few people were able to describe the man after he removed his balaclava a few meters from the bank. However, police were still unable to locate any DNA from the lost weapon as the perpetrator was wearing gloves . We will now show a phantom image of what the robber probably looks like."
I saw the anger flare up in the older man's eyes and saw him grab the remote control without hesitation and throw it in my direction.
The thing missed my head by a few millimeters because I just managed to dodge it.
I quickly glanced at the TV, which flickered and showed a picture of a person who even looked a little like my father.
He snorted and glared at my mother.
"That damned...Arghhh. That brat is to blame for everything. If he hadn't stood in front of me and I hadn't had to stop because of it, this damned situation wouldn't have gotten to this point."
He roared and foam erupted from his mouth. I feared the worst when he got up from the old sofa and stomped towards me.
"I'll teach this child how to behave."
