~chapter fifteen~
Pov Haru
When I opened my eyes this day, I found myself in a sterile room.
Everything was painted white and even the curtains in front of the small window were colorless.
I could hear the birds from outside and loud children yelling from the playground behind the building.
I lounged in the uncomfortable hospital bed, still feeling the burning and stinging warmth emanating from my now bandaged hand.
The moment I wanted to turn to the side, I met a pleased look.
"Haru Oppa, you're awake."
I felt two firm hands gripping my face and squeezing my cheeks.
"Hey, ouch."
Her gaze ended abruptly in a pout and she let go of me.
"You deserve it. Who would come up with such a shitty idea... just because of what Ilwoo said."
It was Ari.
Rolling my eyes on her, I stopped and looked around. Wait a second...
"Ilwoo...where is he?"
I could see her anxious demeanor and looked her up and down.
Nervously, her brown eyes first moved to me, but then to the curtain, hoping to distract from my question.
"You know...that's a quite uninteresting story...Don't you wanna talk about something else. How is your wound doing?"
Her dimples didn't appear, which meant that the smile she gave me was definitely fake.
"Ari." My demanding voice let her sigh.
"Fine...He went home...He said it would be better for both of you."
My mood darkened and involuntarily I grabbed Ari's sleeve.
"How did he think that could be BETTER...Couldn't you have stopped him? He just broke up our friendship, without really telling me WHY."
Her eyes were shocked at my behavior and she jerked out of my grip.
I could tell she wanted to say something back.
Something she wanted to say out of anger.
But then she thought better of it and her eyes fell down at me calmly.
"So... he really didn't tell you?"
Pov Ari
I should have known from the start that the brown haired would definitely not be put off once he heard the news.
But I could hardly fail to answer why the blond boy had disappeared again.
I hated being in the middle of this situation right now and not knowing who to stand by.
I loved them both more than anything.
They were like family to me and I clearly didn't have any intention to lose them, even though both of them were real jerks at times.
I really tried to stop Ilwoo from leaving.
But his behavior showed me that this was hopeless.
He was unstoppable.
Idiot, I thought while remembering the things happened before.
~few hours before~
"How is he?"
