~chapter thirty four~

POV Author

"Hold on. I'm coming down."

Desperate, Haru clasped his hands in front of his eyes, but he still left a gap to follow Ilwoo's daring attempt.

Him now climbed confidently on the side of the tree, probably more in a sliding movement down again.

"I told you that I'm big enough to do it on my own."

Proudly, he looked up at the sky with his small arms on his hips.

"Yes you are babe."

A tousle through the blond hair and a headlock were readily accepted by Ilwoo.

Ari felt a lot better again.

When the two entered the room, she was no longer lying in bed but was sitting on the chair by the window.

She seemed to have gotten someone to smuggle an entire library into the building for her.

Stacks of books piled up on the floor next to the chair.

Akita was probably responsible for this.

The three chatted for a while, enduring the redhead's teasing comments and were happy about Ari's quick recovery.

"If you ever fight again, please don't forget the toy swords.  It was already enough kindergarten with you this time."

Meant ironically, but with a spark of truth, this statement made the two young men laugh.

The large apartment door opens and a small figure happily hopped into the interior of the large building.

Haru followed.

His smile spread a galaxy as he eyed the younger one, who now took off his olive green denim jacket and stormed through the left doorway into the living room.

There was a loud squeak as Ilwoo dropped onto the couch.

The dark-haired man took off his dark coat and also went to the said place.

"I didn't think Nuna would recover so quickly."

The gray blanket, reminiscent of the night before, was pulled over the blond one by two delicate hands and it made Ilwoo look cute.

A heavy body sat down next to him and nodded in agreement.

"But see it this way. It's like Ari said. She is like weeds. We won't get rid of her and her jokes any time soon."

A grin was followed by a laugh and then a pat on Ilwoo's head.

"I think it's about time for dinner. Should I order something for us?"

Two knowing doe eyes followed this question and the smaller one nodded.

"Of course Hyung, we don't want you to burn down the house."

But before the person opposite could get up, he was grabbed by the arm.

"Wait...I mean...Or we could cook together..."

"Tempting words coming out of your mouth babe."

Ilwoo blushed and half hid his cheeks under the covers.

He still partially hadn't gotten used to the word sending butterflies through his body every time he heard it.

"What should we cook? I can look for the recipe on the internet."
