~chapter eleven~

~back to time~

Pov Ilwoo

On my way back home, I decided to make a short stop at the park.

I walked a long time, because no busses drove anymore at this night hour.

Passing a few houses I saw the big green area from far away.

The fresh wind blew night air into my face and messed up my hair.

I didn't care about how I looked right now, probably just like a drowned poodle, soaked from all the crying and emotional chaos personified.

The park began to get clearer in my vision and the moon seemed like leading me the way.

As I stood right in front of it, I saw a black sign with white letters and numbers on it

"Closed from 11pm until 5am".

The wind rustled through the bushes behind the big iron door and I let myself fall to the ground.

Now on knees, I didn't know what would be my next step.

I couldn't go back, even if I would like to.

"It's the best."

I murmured to myself, resting my face on my hands.

Even if this words should have given me a feel of comfort, they didn't.

I tried to make myself believe that this was the right thing, the right thing for everyone.

But it...it wasn't, right?

In confusion and anger, I took the next best pebble and throw it against the door, where it land with a loud clang.

It used to be, that it didn't feel this worse to hide the feelings I had for him.

That's because I always thought he was straight.

My conviction of this kind arose at the high school prom, to which I was invited by Haru.

~years before~

I wore a black suit that was a bit oversized as it was my father's.

According to Haru's statement at reception, I was one of the family companions.

I had to bite back a laugh as he explained to the black-clad man that I was a distant cousin.

After he let us in, the brown haired expressed he would wait outside and we could already search for our seats.

With his dark blue blazer, he left again in direction of the street.

I was confused, but his parents held a proud look and his mother curled her lips into a smile.

"He grew up so fast."

She started.

Her son shared the same brown eyes as her and also the same color of hair.

The beautiful woman was wrapped in red velvet, which reached to the ankle and gave her an elegant appearance.

Haru's father already had a few gray strands in his black hair.

The man was broadly built and otherwise generally made a severe impression.

He wore a wine-red jacket and black suit trousers to match his wife.

At the moment his wife was adjusting the bow at his neck.

Around me appeared more and more people.

All wore beautiful and expensive looking clothes.
