~chapter forty six~

POV Author

"All right, my little prince, ready to stroll through the park?  Unfortunately, I have to deny you the carriage.  I was struggling in the rush to find some more white horses to pull them."

The little fist punched playfully at the man who just emerged from the entrance of the three star building.

"It's okay, it's okay.  I have understood.  The prince also likes to stroll around on foot.  But not on my watch."

Ilwoo's feet were lifted up from the point on the floor where he was just standing, bridal style.

This made his brain forget how to breathe properly for a brief moment and his hand, which had just gripped the bouquet of roses, caught it again at the last second.

The warm rays of the afternoon sun, which slowly faded into a delicate peach-orange and cast a shadow over the electricity poles in the distance, immersed the surroundings in a pleasant feeling.

The car door to the black BMW was opened gently and Ilwoo, who still had wrapped his arms around Haru's neck a bit awkwardly, now let go and sank into the comfortable seat.

~few minutes later~

POV Haru

"Wait, I'll help you out."

After the rather conspicuous attempt to get the square something under the seat, I lowered my body and now pulled with my strength on the secret compartment, which opened without further ado.

A superior grin crossed my face as Ilwoo crossed his arms in disappointment.

I examined the box, which seemed slightly larger than a DINA4 sheet of paper from the side.

"You can open it later Hyung...Let's go to the park first."

The mystery box was happily taken from me and instead a hand was given, which I clasped by myself and which pulled me along.

"Could you at least give me a hint what's in it babe?"

My puppy eyes, which I never use, didn't seem to be having an effect and I let go.

The scent of cherry blossoms was in the air and even though the sun was no longer at its fullest in the sky, it still gave off enough heat to leave my jacket in the car.

We crossed the entrance framed by an iron door and I saw the park in which, thanks to the blond, my whole life had played out until now.

My facial features softened and followed the ducks who seemed to be cleaning each other's feathers.

The pond was not huge and yet it filled the park with a pleasant idyll.

"Let's sit on that bench over there under that big cherry blossom tree."

It was the last bench we sat on after our long reunion.

I nodded, the right corner of my mouth lifted slightly.

The pink flowers framed the scene like a curtain and made the place rather secluded.
