"Akita?"
The brown haired gasped in shock.
Ari just looked at her best friend in confusion, eating the last piece of cake with the fork.
"Uhm, yeah...why do you ask?"
The words came slowly and between the chews, rather than expecting anything earth-shattering in reply.
But Haru finally gave up.
He thought that nothing could get any worse now anyway and began trying to explain.
"All right. I think I have something to confess to you, Ari."
He sighed and the red-haired young woman put down her fork and nodded.
"So...To be honest...Oh I don't know how to explain it. All possible answers are sounding like shit in my head right now."
He eyed down in frustration.
"Come on. Don't make it so exciting oppa. Tell me."
Haru's face straightened up again.
He took a deep breath and began.
"Well, to be honest, Akita and I weren't really friends."
Recognizing the puzzled look from the young woman, the brown-haired male quickly corrected himself.
His hand nervously grabbed the turtleneck of his beige top and corrected it with one finger.
However, the hope of being able to breathe better as a result quickly disappeared.
"I didn't mean it like that."
He shook his head.
"Akita and I were friends at first. But then... Then more developed."
The redhead, at first surprised, understood and gave the other a supportive look.
This gave Haru new courage and he continued.
"However, we were together for a while. But then others started to find out and threatened me with all kinds of things."
The younger one looked worriedly at her elder.
"What things?"
After a soft sigh, Haru answered the question.
„They said they would tell my father about it. But the worst thing was that they were ready to attack Akita.
Verbally and physically...I didn't want to let that happen. And since Akita wasn't aware of any of this at the time, I decided to end the whole thing by breaking up with him."
Now Haru's gaze met Aris. She looked horrified and he knew why.
"Yes. I didn't tell him why. And today I know that it was a big mistake."
His words sounded dejected and reflected this feeling in his dark brown eyes.

The day had come.
I could already know how much I would hate myself for it later.
But it just had to be, I had no other choice.
This was the only chance to avoid a bigger mess and I took it.
All day I tried to avoid any possible touches from Akita.
