"We're really doing this?"
Miyoung rolled her eyes at Sora's question. "Of course. You're always complaining about never meeting anyone new and here the perfect opportunity dropped right into our laps."
"Yeah, but isn't this weird? Just showing up at their front door?" The older questioned once again.
Miyoung huffed out a deep breath before looking up at Sora. "I don't think he has friends. He's new and I haven't seen him outside once since I came back. Would you want to spend your summer cooped up in your house all day?"
At first it seemed that Sora had hesitated to answer but nevertheless did a second after. "No... You're right. We should definitely do this."
Miyoung simply smiled before wiping her hair, that loosely fell over her face back over her shoulder. She then walked out her own front door with Sora right behind. They however didn't expect to see the reason for their visit to already be sitting outside.
"That's him?" Sora whispered and Miyoung nodded. "Oh, he's super cute." Miyoung chuckled at Sora's remark before grabbing her hand and pulling her along.
Kai sat on the steps in front of his house, earphones in his ears as he listened to music with his eyes shut closed. He hadn't even sensed the two girls' presence yet. It was only when his sunlight was suddenly blocked that he opened his eyes. It displayed pure confusion especially as he saw the two girls staring right at him. "Oh... Hello?" He greeted.
Both girls looked at each other and smiled. Despite his initial shock and perplexity, Kai was ecstatic being able to see Miyoung again and so soon too. "Kai, right?" Miyoung inquired to which the boy slowly nodded. "Great. So, Kai... I'm guessing you probably don't have much friends yet?"
"Uhm... No..." He felt quite embarrassed admitting that as he looked away, shyly.
"Don't be embarrassed. You just moved here, so there's no judgement from us." Sora spoke for the first time.
"We, uhm, actually wanted to ask you if you wanted to hang out with us? Of course, it won't just be us girls. We have guy friends as well." Miyoung quickly explained.
"I don't think we can exactly count our brothers as 'guy friends'." Sora snickered.
"Hey, what about like Soobin and Taehyun. They're guys and friends... Sort of?"
"Sort of?" Kai suddenly asked.
Miyoung twisted her face into a weird expression. "Yes?"
The uncertainty in her tone made Kai laugh. "I don't mind hanging out with girls. This is not middle school." He joked.
"Well, Kai. Do you have a bike?" Sora asked in reply.
Kai immediately nodded his head 'yes'. "I'm going to go get it."
"Okay, great. We'll go get ours. See you in 10." The three departed, all going to retrieve their bicycles.
It didn't take long for Miyoung to come back, Kai already waiting outside. When Sora came riding down the road with her bike, Kai looked over at Miyoung in confusion. "Oh, she lives down the street." Kai's mouth formed an 'o' at the new information.
"Ready?" The older girl asked. The other two hopped on their bikes and then the three of them were off.
They rode at a slow pace yet no one really spoke as Kai was too focused following the two girls, who occasionally tried to play tricks on each other. "Where are we going?" Kai called out.
