The doorbell rang.

Immediately, Sora ran down the stairs, two at a time. Her mind was a mixture of excitement and nervousness, but still, she felt happy in that moment.

Just like expected, Yeonjun stood on the other side of the door, turning to her the moment she ripped the door open. She only stared at him for a few seconds, taking in the moment as her brain tried to keep up with her  pounding heart.

Choi Yeonjun stood at her front door, ready to pick her up for a date. 14 year old Sora would definitely never have believed you.

And... he looked unbelievable good too. Yeonjun wore a loose-fitting blue shirt, the sleeves were rolled up all the way around his biceps and it was paired with some cut-off shorts. On top of his head was a red baseball cap and without much thought, Sora snatched it off so fast.

"Thank you~" She sing-songed before placing it on her head instead.

Yeonjun laughed at her actions. "Well, hello to you too."

"Hi," She smiled. "Nice sneakers." She noted as she finally noticed his shoes, causing Yeonjun to laugh and look away half embarrassed.

"Thanks... I guess."

"Don't be shy now, Jun. You were the one who asked me out. Remember?" Sora cocked her head to the side as she stared at him.

Feeling nervous, Yeonjun ruffled his long bangs. "Let's go?" He asked and Sora nodded, stepping outside. Just as he was about to close the door behind her, Yeonjun heard someone clear their throat behind him.

"I'm watching you, Yeons. And remember, I don't forgive easily." Beomgyu warned before retreating back upstairs.

Yeonjun gulped before closing the door. "Don't tell me you're intimidated by Beomgyu of all people?" Sora laughed.

"I'm not. It's just— I really don't want to mess this up." Yeonjun admitted.

"You won't. Stop overthinking it." Sora grabbed his hand and laced their fingers together. "Come on. You have to show me where we're going."

Yeonjun nodded and then tugged her hand to follow him. It was about 6PM now and the sun was slowly beginning to set. The two walked hand in hand as Sora let Yeonjun lead her to their destination. He didn't bring his car which meant that they probably weren't going far. Sora was glad that the boy was keeping it lowkey though, because for as long as they're still new to whatever their relationship with each other was, she didn't want the pressure of everyone else to impulsively rush them into something.

"Where are we going?" Sora asked, curiously peering at Yeonjun.

The latter smiled small before shifting his eyes to hers that still awaited his answer. "You'll see."

"Tease." Sora rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress her curiosity any longer.

After what felt like only five minutes later, Yeonjun finally pulled them to a stop. When Yeonjun met her eyes, Sora blinked a few times before shifting her gaze to where they were. Immediately, a smile spread on her lips, an overwhelming yet wondrous feeling blooming in her chest.

"A picnic?" She asked, unable to hide her excitement as she spoke.

Yeonjun sheepishly scratched the back of his head, shying away from her eyes. "Y-yeah, I know it's not much but—"

All of the sudden, Sora went on her tippy toes and planted a chaste kiss on his cheek, completely catching him off guard. "No, it's perfect. Like you."

A blush instantly coloured his cheeks as Sora giggled before letting go of his hand and skipping over to the setup. Yeonjun had a blanket spread out on the grass, right under a tall tree that served as great protection from the faint rays emitting from the sun. There were two baskets as well, once again filling Sora with curiosity. Right in the center laid a bouquet of flowers and a red heart shaped box that suspiciously looked like chocolates. Slowly, a wide smile etched on her lips. Yeonjun really did all this for her.
