A little welcoming party, Miyoung had said. It was getting all too hard to believe as Yeseul watched more people stream into the house.

The pinkette glanced over at Sora, who stood in horror as the group of boys came in carrying kegs of beers. "Do you even know who that is?" Sora asked as she leaned over to whisper to Yeseul.

"I have literally not been in this town for a year. Girl, I have no idea who half of these people are!" The older exclaimed before taking a distressed sip of her Coke.

"Relax!" Yeonjun slung his arms over both their shoulders. "They're friends of mine."

Both girls turned to look at him like horns had grown out of his head. "I thought we were sticking to people we all know, Yeonjun!" Sora was first to yell.

Yeonjun threw his hands up in defense, pouting his lips as he said, "It would've been so boring with just the little kids here. I'm just trying to give Kai the real experience."

"And by experience you mean traumatizing the poor kid by forcing him to be around your weirdo friends?" Yeseul shot back.

"You're so... Urgh." Yeonjun rolled his eyes and walked over to where Soobin was pouring himself a drink. He thinks they wouldn't notice but the faint smell of alcohol was quite obvious when he was so close to them. He clearly wasn't sober.

The music seemed to have gotten louder which seemed impossible considering it was already quite loud. After 20 minutes the two girls decided to head towards the stairs that seemed to be a little less crowded. They found Kai sitting in the middle of the staircase, sipping out of a blue cup.

Yeseul chuckled as she went to take a seat on the step right below him, Sora leaning against the wall. "Hey there."

"Hi." The boy sighed.

"What's wrong, kid?" Yeseul asked.

"I don't... I don't really like this party. I was supposed to meet new people but so far no one's even spared me a glance. This one girl just looked at me and walked away when I said hi."

Both girls frowned and immediately felt annoyed. Especially because tonight was supposed to be fun for Kai as the whole point was to welcome him to their town. "Well, that girl is stupid. And so is everyone else here." Sora started relaying furiously.

"I always knew the people here sucked. But don't worry, Hyuka, I'm going to make sure you have fun. Now, let's go dance!" Yeseul took the boy by his arms and pulled him up as gently as she could.

Kai seemed reluctant at first, but once Yeseul gave him another pep talk, he seemed more willing to go with her. "There you guys are!" Sumin called out. The blonde seemed out of breath like she's been running around for a while. "I've been looking all over the place for you."

"You went to the bathroom and disappeared!" Yeseul defended but Sumin stood shocked.

"You were the ones who disappeared. When I came back, you guys weren't there anymore." Sumin shot back. Whenever Sumin was upset she had this habit of pouting her lips as she spoke. Yeseul found it absolutely adorable.

"Okay, fine. Sorry, Su." A smile immediately spread on the blonde's face. She was older than all of them? Sora couldn't help but think as she watched Sumin excitedly join Yeseul and Kai to the dance floor.

Sora only watched them, not in a good mood like they were. In fact, she was still thinking about how unhappy Kai was. She glanced around the room filled with mostly unfamiliar faces. She was certain all of them were much older than them which meant they had to be Yeonjun's friends. Oh, today's the day she gives him a piece of her mind.
