Miyoung was upset. It's been days since she's heard from Taehyun; the only updates she would get being from his frequent hangouts with Yeseul. It unsettled her that he was spending so much time with the older now even though it was a normal thing in the past. But she didn't care two years ago. She does, however, care now.

What? He was her friend now too and she had become accustomed to his presence.

The girl knew that he was ignoring her and it had everything to do with his confession. "Fuck," Miyoung groaned, turning onto her side. She had been in her room all day, her mood too down to be talking to anyone else. Grabbing her phone, she switched on the screen for the hundredth time that day. All the notifications that popped up were useless, because none of them were from Taehyun. "This is so stupid." Miyoung mumbled to herself. So, what? They just weren't going to talk at all anymore just because the boy caught feelings for her? Wasn't he the one who didn't want things to be different between them now? Yet here he was; ignoring her.

Her mind wandered off to that night they went to get ramen together. His words always echoed in her head.

"But after a while, I just did it because I genuinely liked spending time with you. I don't know if that's the answer you were looking for, but I just really enjoy your company. Sometimes even more than anyone else."

Miyoung scoffed. What had happened to that? Did he suddenly just stop enjoying her company? Just like that?

She couldn't help but wonder if his silence partly has to do with Yeseul too. Now that he got his real best friend back, he didn't need her anymore. The thought lingered for a while and Miyoung was genuinely starting to believe it. It did make sense. She was merely just a placeholder for what Yeseul has always been. And with that conclusion, Miyoung kind of wished she never encouraged Taehyun to mend their friendship.

No, that's selfish, Miyoung.

The latter had started scolding herself for thinking such bad things about her friend when the pink haired girl suddenly popped her head into Miyoung's bedroom. She must've sensed Miyoung was thinking about her. "Hey, you good?" Yeseul asked.

"Yeah, all good." Miyoung tried to hide the unpleasantness she was feeling with a smile, but yet she failed in masking her true emotions. Yeseul definitely noticed.

"Do you want to talk about it...?" The older offered, but Miyoung declined. She knew Yeseul would think she's being silly and that she's simply imagining things. "Okay then... I'm heading out then."

"Let me guess; with Taehyun?"

Yeseul pulled a face. It's clear she's been caught, not that it was a secret to begin with but whatever. "Yeah... He hasn't spoken to you at all, huh?"

Miyoung shook her head dejectedly. "But it's fine! I don't care, really. It's not like I'm losing sleep over him or anything."

When Yeseul suddenly chuckled, the younger glanced back at her. "Yes, of course. It would be ridiculous to think such a thing." She shook her head in amusement. "I'll be sure to let Taehyun know that you're not missing him and that he shouldn't contact you, because you don't care what he does. Alright?"

"Wait, no!" Miyoung was quick to object. "Don't tell him that. He might just get the wrong message."

"Which is?"

"That I care about him ghosting me. Because, I don't." Miyoung firmly stated.

Yeseul smiled small. "Okay, bub. I will make sure to not mention a thing. These lips are sealed." The older did a zip lock motion over her lips which made Miyoung let out the smallest of laughs. "I'm off then. Please get some fresh air, okay?"
