"Alright, are you finally going to tell me what's wrong? Or do I need to call Gyu over and make him drag it out of you?"
Taehyun instantly froze with a piece of cotton candy halfway in his mouth. "What?" He questioned.
Yeseul sighed, turning her body to him. "You've been so off since we picked you up an hour ago. And, and Miyoung has been sulking in her room since she came back from your hangout too."
Taehyun immediately broke eye contact at the mention of the girl. He still felt stupid for confessing but there's no point dwelling on what's already been done. Instead, he only shrugged his shoulders and continued eating his fluffy treat.
The older sighed when Taehyun brushed her off. This probably wasn't the best place to get into this conversation, but she was tired of seeing Taehyun not being himself.
"Fine, you tell me what's up and I won't pester you for the rest of the night. Come on, I'm sure you don't want to walk around with whatever you're going through when we're at the fair!" Yeseul attempted at bargaining, smiling when Taehyun seemed to give in.
"I'm so stupid." He started off.
Yeseul nodded her head, not a hint of surprise on her face. "Yeah, we know that already. So, what's that got to do with anything?"
Taehyun rolled his eyes. "This is serious, Yeseul." He complained, causing a teasing laugh to emit from Yeseul's lips.
"Okay, okay. Sorry, please continue." She gestured with her hand for him to continue when she successfully stifled her giggles.
The boy took a deep breath, not believing he was about to admit this to Yeseul. "I like Miyoung and I told her... like this afternoon."
"Oh..." Yeseul was definitely shocked at that revelation. This was not what she was expecting to come out of her friend's mouth.
"Funny, that's what she said too." Taehyun mumbled, looking away from the pinkette in embarrassment.
"No, Tae. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off like that. It's just— That was unexpected." Yeseul quickly added. "Well, the part where you told her not the you liking her part."
His eyes flickered to Yeseul's so fast, he probably got whiplash. "You knew I liked her?"
"Uhm, kind of? I mean, Mimi is great so... I'm just surprised Soobin doesn't like her yet, but then again he's a dummy too."
"Please do not mention Soobin right now." Taehyun groaned, looking like he was ready to run for the hills.
"Oh, shit. Sorry, I didn't mean— Back to my point, yes. I have eyes and Gyu's been mentioning you've been acting strange lately. So, yeah. I started drawing conclusions." She shrugged it off like it was a normal thing for her.
"Well, what do I do now? Because I'm sure she doesn't like me and now our friendship is ruined."
Yeseul studied him for a few seconds. "Did she tell you that?" She asked.
Taehyun turned to her with an unamused expression and crossed his arms. "She didn't have to. I think you're forgetting the whole 'Miyoung being head over heels in love with Soobin since like forever' part."
"Eh, it's always seemed more like infatuation to me than anything." Yeseul waved her hand around, dismissively.
"Okay, Oprah. So, are you going to give me helpful advice, because I'm kind of really freaked out right now."
"I don't know. Just go on like normally. I'm sure she'll realize soon enough that Soobin isn't actually the only boy she'll ever love." At this point, Taehyun didn't really get what Yeseul was going at but he could only listen as she spoke.
