Laughter and chatter filled the air. Music played as well, practically faded into the background by now.

A loud splash suddenly joined the mix as well, followed by a loud shriek. "Choi Beomgyu!" A voice yelled and Beomgyu giggled as soon as he emerged from the water.

"Sorry, mom! Sorry, Mrs. Choi!" He called out, the two women finding it impossible to stay mad at that precious smile.

Sora rolled her eyes. "They're so weak." She stated, making Miyoung laugh from beside her.

Currently, they were at the twins' house. Their parents had invited everyone over for a barbecue. Soobin and Taehyun's parents couldn't make it though which was sad because Soobin's mom was Miyoung's favourite and Taehyun's dad made the best jokes.

Fortunately, the two boys were there. It's not like any of them had anything better to do than spend their days together. Not that they were complaining.

Miyoung was sat next to Sora on a blanket they had laid out when they all moved out to the backyard. Sora seemed to have been distracted with her phone, smiling every now and then. Miyoung chose to ignore it  though as she let her own eyes roam over the people there. They were truly some of her favourite people in the whole world.

She noticed Taehyun floating on a pool ring, relaxing as he drifted around the swimming pool. Miyoung had to stifle her laughter when she noticed Beomgyu diving underneath the ring and pushing Taehyun off.

The boy yelped, clutching onto the floating ring in an attempt to stop himself from falling off but ended up falling in anyway. Miyoung laughed loudly as Beomgyu resurfaced with a smug smile. "You're a menace, Gyu." Miyoung told him, only receiving an innocent look in return.

Taehyun now stood beside his best friend, looking anything but happy with the older as he pushed his hair out of his face. Miyoung's eyes followed his every little move, unconsciously, almost like she just did it out of habit. She's been doing it for quite some time now too. Then taking her bottom lip between her teeth, she broke her eyes away from him briefly. She hasn't been able to forget his eyes and how lovely they were when they stared into hers.

What was she even thinking? He was only Taehyun, but he somehow is the only person that manages to make her feel comfortable and flustered all at the same time. She's definitely never thought of Beomgyu this way but then again, she had known him since they were still babies.

"Sora," The older hummed in response, but once she noticed Miyoung wasn't answering, she glanced up to see Miyoung's eyes focused elsewhere. "What do you think of Taehyun?" She asked carefully as she turned to face Sora.

To say Sora was surprised was an understatement. That question practically came out of nowhere. "Taehyun? What do I think of Taehyun?" Miyoung nodded. "Kang Taehyun? My brother's best friend? That Taehyun?"

Miyoung laughed. "Yes, that Taehyun. Who else would I be talking about?"

"I don't know. It could be one of your fancy school people."

Miyoung rolled her eyes. "Well, answer the question."

Sora groaned, sitting up straight. She watched the boy for a minute, studying him. "Well, I guess, he's cute."

"Right? I thought I was weird for thinking that. He's just so nice to look at."

"Uhm, Mimi, are you okay?" Sora asked, confused as the younger stared in the boy's direction again. "He's still just Beomgyu's best friend to me though. And he's younger than me. I don't date younger guys."
