With the beginning of the new school year fast approaching the coming week, everyone had been busy and mostly spending time apart.
Taehyun sat at his desk, writing in his planner as a Kendrick Lamar song played in his earphones. He was prepping for the year especially with all the new responsibilities he would have as a senior in high school.
However, he just couldn't concentrate no matter how hard he tried. He'd find himself daydreaming instead about a certain brown haired girl that just wouldn't leave his mind.
A shy smile spread on his lips when once again his thoughts wandered off to Miyoung. It was quite frankly still unbelievable to him that he had a girlfriend now. Just too bad he hadn't been able to see her at all over the last five days as she was just the same as him; finalizing things for school.
He sat wondering if maybe he should call her, but decided he probably shouldn't bother her when she's busy. Still, the idea was tempting though as he kept flickering his eyes to his phone screen.
Just as a new song started playing, Taehyun sighed and finally gave in. But the moment his fingers touched the device, a knock sounded from his open bedroom door.
The boy whipped his head up, coming face to face with the very person that's been driving him insane all day. It was like she had jumped right out of his mind and materialized in front of him.
Miyoung smiled softly at him, looking quite bashful as Taehyun's eyes remained on her. "Hi." She started.
Immediately, Taehyun's face broke into his signature half-dimpled smile. "Hi." He replied, making both of them blush at their own awkwardness.
It was true that they had spent a few days apart but it also happened to be right after they first started dating. Which meant they hadn't quite gotten comfortable with the idea yet.
"Your mom let me in, by the way. I don't think she knows we're dating." Miyoung giggled when Taehyun's cheeks bloomed pink.
"I haven't really told anyone. I wasn't sure if you wanted to tell anyone yet, so..."
Miyoung glanced around his room. She's only been here once or twice before. "No, I don't mind. But, I haven't really told anyone either." Her eyes flickered to Taehyun's as a small smile played at her lips.
Taehyun softly chuckled before turning back to his journal, allowing Miyoung to continue exploring his bedroom. "Oh my God, this picture is so adorable!" She suddenly exclaimed.
Confused, Taehyun turned back to see what she was talking about. Miyoung was holding up a frame with an old picture of Taehyun and Beomgyu when he was about 11 years old and the older 12 years old.
"That's from the year we first moved here." Taehyun explained. He laughed under his breath when Miyoung continued gushing about how small and cute they both looked compared to now. "So, I'm not cute now?" He asked.
Miyoung shot him a look before placing the frame back onto the table. "No, you are not." Taehyun's face dropped. He definitely wasn't happy with that answer and immediately turned away from her with a scowl. Miyoung laughed before walking to him and wrapping her arms around his shoulders from behind. "You're really attractive now."
Taehyun tried his best to bite back the smile that stubbornly tried to spread on his lips. Instead, he tilted his head to face Miyoung. The girl watched him carefully. "Are you saying I'm hot?" He questioned with a slight smirk on his face.
"Maybe..." Miyoung teased, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek — right by his dimple — before pulling away from his body. "What are you doing anyway?"
