TRACK #6

Miyoung thought it would be a good idea to introduce Kai to the rest of their friends. At first, Sora thought it would be too overwhelming for the younger boy, but once Miyoung reassured her that it would be good for him, she gave in.

Now, it was two days later. Soobin, Beomgyu and Taehyun all sat squished together on the long couch, playing on the game console. Yeonjun was leaning over the kitchen table, scrolling through his phone out of boredom.

Miyoung looked down at her watch again for the nth time the last half hour. "Yes, yes, yes! Whoo!"  Beomgyu exclaimed as he threw his controller onto the coffee table in front of them.

"You cheated!" Soobin protested from the furthest end of the couch.

"You're just a sore loser." Beomgyu mocked while sticking his tongue out at the older.

Taehyun rolled his eyes before falling back on the backrest. "I want a rematch!" Soobin called out.

"Too bad, you're never getting one. I am a retired champion, I fear." Beomgyu retorted.

"No, you're just full of bullshit." Taehyun told the other yet it didn't seem to faze Beomgyu one bit as the only reaction he had was a sly smile on his lips before spinning around. He almost tripped over his own feet in his attempt to walk away. "Your dumbass can't even walk right." Taehyun snorted before getting up from the couch and joining Yeonjun at the kitchen counter.

Miyoung heard the front door click shut and immediately jumped up. "You guys have absolutely no reason to be this fucking loud all the damn time."

Sora walked in with Kai following right behind. "Look who I found on my way here." The older girl spoke again, pulling Kai further into the house.

The four boys' attention all shifted to the newcomer. "Who is this?" Yeonjun was first to ask.

Kai looked over at Miyoung in uncertainty, but the girl gave him an encouraging nod. "I'm Huening Kai."

"He's your new neighbour!" Sora added, patting Kai's shoulder before brushing past him to plop down on the single couch closest to her. "And he's our new friend. So, I better see you all being nice to him. Oh, and Taehyun, he's the same age as you and Mimi." She said matter of factly.

Taehyun nodded doing a salute type gesture. "Noted, Ma'am."

Kai continued awkwardly standing in hallway for a few seconds before anyone noticed. "You suck at introductions, Sora." Beomgyu said as he walked over to Kai to walk him in. Sora rolled her eyes at her brother's remark obviously.  "I'm Beomgyu. I'm sure my lovely sister has taken the initiative of slandering my name beforehand but I just want you to know that she's a liar and just jealous because I'm actually a million times cooler than her."

Kai laughed at Beomgyu, who was trying to provoke Sora. "I think someone needs to beat Beomgyu's ass and I volunteer as tribute." The girl shot her brother a look that was warning enough for him to start running because not even five seconds later Sora was chasing after the boy.

"Sorry about them. You just kind of get used to it." Yeonjun apologized as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm Yeonjun, by the way."

"And I'm Soobin!" The tall boy called from the couch and Kai nodded in acknowledgement, smiling at them.

"And Taehyun, right? Nice to meet you all."

Surprisingly, Kai had easily started conversing with the two boys. Miyoung, who had been watching from her spot behind the couch, smiled small to herself.
