Two years ago, Yeseul's life had been turned upside down. Her parents had abandoned her when she needed their support the most. The thought of her parents hating her and being ashamed of her has been plaguing her mind for months on end. At some point she was starting to slowly come to accepting the fact that she had to let it go.

But now, after all this time, Yeseul was on her way to do something she never thought she'd ever be doing.

The pinkette walked along the road, about two streets away from Yeonjun and Miyoung's house. Her steps were slow and heavy. Clearly, she was dreading doing this. It's not that she was planning on visiting her old home but when the message came through the previous night, she just couldn't ignore it.

Her so called parents wanted to talk to her. Usually, Yeseul would not have cared and just blow them off but she figured since they brought her into this world, she should at least hear them out. If that wasn't reason enough, she reasoned that she deserved an apology as compensation for the hell they put her through.

Currently, as Yeseul walked to their house, she had her phone pressed against her ear. "Fuck, I'm so nervous."

Sumin's laugh rang on the other line, only partly calming the younger's nerves.

"Relax. You'll be just fine, I promise."

"You don't know that..." Yeseul trailed off, halting in the middle of the sidewalk as she could now see her old street coming up ahead. "I'm really close by and the nerves are making me feel nauseous."

"Listen to me. You can do this, okay? You're Kim Yeseul, babe. You don't tolerate bullshit. So, why are you letting two losers freak you out this much?"

Yeseul released a shaky breath. She was so nervous that she couldn't even laugh at Sumin's subtle jab at her parents. "I think I'm going to throw up." She finally spoke.

"No. Please, don't."

"Sumin... I don't think I can do this." Yeseul admitted, lowering herself to crouch down on the side of the road.

"Tell me what you're thinking."

Yeseul didn't respond for a brief second. She needed to get her breathing under control first. "What if... What if they're still the same? What if they only called me because they think I'm over this 'phase' they claim I had? Or worse, they simply want to further ridicule me? I don't think I can handle that."

"Babe... We don't know that for sure. I'm sure they aren't that cruel. I mean, they did reach out, right? That's good. It's progress."

The younger knew Sumin was trying her best to comfort her but from experience, she knew not to expect too much. Her parents weren't kind, especially when she first broke news of her sexuality. So, what guaranteed that they had changed in all this time? They hadn't even reached out once before. Not even when their 16 year old daughter was thrown out into the street like some old rug they no longer wanted.

"Yeseul... Are you still there?"

Sumin's voice snapped her out of her reverie. "Y-yeah, I am... I'm still nervous though..."

"That's fine. I just need you to calm down enough to talk to them. Get this over with and see what happens."

"You're right. The worst that could happen is them disowning me– Oh, they've already done that." Yeseul spoke, voice dripping with sarcasm.
