"I have to say it, worst double date ever," Rita said in a frustrated tone of voice while changing into her PJs.

"Yup," Oddey agreed. She got out of the bathroom and was also wearing her PJs and then threw the wet, sticky clothes that she wore for the date in the laundry bin. "Sorry, Bestie, if I knew this was gonna happen, I wouldn't have agreed to come to what's supposed to be just you and Felix's date."

"That's okay, I don't mind the double date, I'd be a nervous wreck if it's just me and him and besides, it's Gage's fault for inviting that Courtney to our double date. Sorry to say, I know you like him but what was he thinking?"

"No, no, I don't like him," Oddey told her. She dropped herself in her bed. "Not anymore, not after that."

"Aww... Are you okay?" Rita asked.

"Yeah, I will. It sucks but I guess it's just one of those things that's not meant to be," she moaned, then Rita hugged her to comfort her.

In the boys' dorm, Gage and Courtney went inside and saw their buddy quietly reading his comic book in his bed. "Hey, man, I'm sorry about your date," he apologized.

"Yeah, me too," Courtney said.

"It's cool," Felix responded coldly.

"Are you mad at us?" Gage asked.

"No," he reluctantly answered. "No, I'm not. I can never be mad at you guys."

"Really?"

"A little actually, but when I texted Rita to apologize again, she replied that it's okay and she's willing to try again some other time."

"That's great."

"Yeah."

"But what about Oddey?" Gage quipped, just hearing her name made Courtney's ears smoke that he had to think about her too.

"She didn't say anything about her."

"She must be pissed."

"More like prissy, she cried because her outfit was ruined," Courtney scoffed.

"That's because we splashed soda on her," Gage replied. "Accidentally."

"Just saying that she doesn't have to be such a crybaby about it."

"What's up with you? you sound like you don't like her," Felix questioned her.

Courtney got all choked up and didn't want to admit that she disliked Oddey, "it's not like that," she claimed. "I'm just looking out for Gage and the girl he's dating."

"I know, Oddey, she's nice. She lets me borrow her art stuff, don't you think so, Gage?"

"Yeah, she is," Gage admitted by nodding his head.

"And if she's not, she wouldn't let you join us," Felix reminded Courtney, who was frowning as they talked about her in a good way.

"Welp, too bad it didn't work out," she responds.

"Pfftt... thanks to you," Felix mumbled, but Courtney heard it, so she gave him a dirty look.

"Alright, alright, that's enough," Gage called them out.

Back in the girls' dorm, Rita was already asleep but Oddey couldn't, she was sitting up in her bed looking at her phone and couldn't help but dwell on what happened with the double date. Although, the part when they had a conversation was still fresh in her mind, just the two of them talking before Courtney had to interrupt, which made her remember the envelope that she found.
