Catgirls. They were created by some kind of weird genetic experiment towards the end of the twentieth century; nobody's quite sure who, where, or why. But now they're becoming a fact of life, and everybody knows they exist.

The problem, as far as various equal rights proponents see it, is that they almost worship humans. They're almost supernaturally submissive, and have an in-built urge to obey instructions. They're playful, flirty, and extremely easy to arouse. They also have a low attention span, so can't easily be directed to commit crimes. Mostly they just fawn over people, and keep doing whatever you ask as long as they get fed.

This is a major dilemma if you're talking about basic human rights, because as far as anyone can tell, these creatures aren't really human. They're just attracted to humans, and can kind of fit into human society. Should the law treat them as humans or not? Nobody's sure. But the police don't seem to care too much, as they rarely break the law in any case, and even more rarely complain about what someone is doing to them. They have a natural respect for authority.

(Oh - they're always girls. But sometimes they can spontaneously change sex when really frustrated, and then revert after a few days or weeks. This doesn't happen often enough to explain how they breed, so some people theorise that they can reproduce by parthenogenesis)

But Sam starts finding clues to something a bit stranger. Like, the catgirls are in control. They're treated like pets by a lot of people, or like walking sex toys. So even in what's supposed to be a secure location, it's not such a big concern to see a kitty walking around. They're also very, very hard to keep out of anywhere. But what if someone's using them for spying?

Turns out there is a separate subspecies who are a lot more high functioning. Intelligent, cunning, and stronger than most people would believe. .

They are still naturally submissive, love to please others, and have an incredible sex drive. But they're also planning to take over the world. They send catgirls into military facilities, intelligence agencies, science labs, just about anywhere. They collect information that could potentially be used for blackmail. The ordinary felines don't seem to know there's a big plan behind all this, they just obey the orders of the masters without thinking about it.

Sam first finds a few clues to suggest that someone is using the catgirls to spy for them, and might be putting these beautiful creatures in danger over some selfish landgrab. The cats don't seem to really understand the concept of ownership, so people can use them so easily, take things off them, and they'll never see that anything's wrong. Then he uncovers clues leading to the cabal. And then he realises that it's actually ascended catgirls running the cabal. They're taking over human society from within, relying on the fact that once it's widely known that they'll obey anyone, nobody sees a real need to keep them out of anywhere. They're trying to take over; but because they're beautiful, feminine, and want to fuck us whenever we feel like it, nobody can see them as a threat.

Turns out the cabal isn't new. They've been operating in secret for eight thousand years. It's just that recently, they haven't needed to hide anymore. The catgirls have always been here, just pretending to be human. A century ago, they found a way to switch off their higher brain function and become mindless slaves to the people they trusted enough to own them.

Now, they've been manipulating human politics behind the scenes for longer than we can possibly imagine. They're not trying to take over our society, they have already succeeded. And now, they've shaped our consciousness to the point where the catgirls can make themselves known.

They're stronger than us, smarter than us, faster, and of course sexier. Better in every way. So there's no way we could possibly resist their dominance. This generation, the catgirls achieve their final goal: A world where they can live happily as sex slaves, but where people will never think of harming them.
