Chris and Yasmin are going for a coffee after work to celebrate the completion of some big project. Chris felt the need to stress that this wasn't like a date or anything, but Yasmin isn't sure if he meant it or he's just being shy. So among other small talk she asks him about his life outside work; hobbies and relationships. He reveals that he's already in a relationship, but they don't do jealousy. He has a bunch of different kinks, and his fiancé has no trouble with him seeing other people to do things that aren't part of their dynamic. As long as it's safe, he can do what he wants.

Yasmin has some introspection, and decides she'd be okay with that. She admits that she has so many fantasies, but she's never acted on any of them and wouldn't know where to start; and she says that if he wants to do something some time, she'd love a 'surprise' introduction to the world of kink. She doesn't know what she's really into, and she says she's willing to try anything, but she really wants it to be a surprise.

He certainly seems interested, and she manages to convince him that she knows what she's getting into. They've worked together so long, she had a vague idea what he was into even though they never discussed it, and she's really sure that she wants to be surprised. And that kind of fits with what he wants as well; so he says that some day, when he knows her fantasies a little better, he might invite her back for a real surprise. Or even find a way to make it not her choice; and that's when her eyes really light up. She loves that idea, and tells him enthusiastically that's exactly what she was hoping for. And then they talk a little about fantasies, but not so much specific details. Just vague outlines; and they do find some common ground in the idea of two switches both trying to take control; some kind of game, or trickery, to see who is in charge. Within a framework to make sure it's safe, but something unpredictable could be a lot of fun for both of them.

When Chris looks at his watch and announces that he needs to go home right now, Yasmin is really confused. Because when he went to get the second coffees, she saw him take a little vial from his pocket and put it in one of the cups. She was sure that he was taking the initiative and taking away her choice right away. As they'd only talked about that kind of stuff in the broadest strokes, she found herself a little nervous. She wasn't sure for a moment, and swapped the cups over. She wasn't sure if that was because she wasn't ready yet, or she was in more of a mood to take control. But as soon as she tasted the coffee, with an unexpected citrus flavour, she knew that he'd 'outwitted' her. And that really excited her; something she made every effort to make clear to him so he'd be sure it was okay to go through with his plan.

Why was he going home? And what had he tricked her into drinking?

She asks what he put in the coffee, and he gives a straight answer. He was following his fiancé's orders, adding an unlabelled additive to his own coffee. He hadn't noticed that it didn't taste different because he didn't know what it was. He was told to take it an hour and a half before heading home, which he did, and which explains why he was watching the clock to make sure he wasn't late. She confesses that she thought it was a game, and that she swapped the drinks. He immediately offers the antidote (which he had "in case something stops you getting home in time"), but she's hesitant. Being helpless is exciting to her, and she feels it would be unsatisfying if she goes home without finding out what it was. So Chris calls Nate and admits what happened; says he won't be able to do what he planned, and asks for alternatives.

Nate gives him some details of the mysterious potion, and so he offers Yasmin the choice. She can take the antidote, or come back with him so that he can take care of her while she finds out what he was due to enjoy. She decided already; won't listen to what it is first. She says it would be disappointing to go back on it, and she doesn't want that, so she already decided. And she wants it to be a complete surprise.

The basic scenario could work with all kinds of drugs, but this is what I had in mind: The mix in this case is a muscle relaxant to reduce coordination, something to impede thinking, diuretics, and a few other ingredients. A modern approximation to an age-reversal potion. The extra time taken to make sure she's genuinely enthusiastic about playing blind, as well as her lower tolerance of drugs she's unfamiliar with, means that her first hint of what's going to happen comes when she wets herself as they finish their third drinks, and then Chris is rushing her home, blushing furiously and more excited than she's even been before...
