You Wish?

A guy gets three wishes from a genie, and quickly finds out that nothing is easy. The wishes all get twisted around and messed up, taking stuff literally and not doing what he meant. After the first two, he gets sick of the genie laughing at him for his mistake, and his temper gets the better of him. "Why do humans always make such stupid wishes? It's like you don't even think about it!" / "You think you could do better? I wish you knew what it's like to be in this situation" He didn't mean it as a wish; but the Generalised Omnipotence Device already heard it.

Now this guy is a genie, and has to come to terms with GOD access, magical union rules, and all kinds of weirdness. Meanwhile, the former genie becomes human and starts to realise that he now has to do the other guy's job, with no idea of what it actually involves. Worse, he has the magic ring with a genie in it now, but he is required to make a wish to help somebody else at least once a day (or week?), and he's trapped like this until he manages to do it without messing up. Meanwhile, the guy-turned-genie tries to use his magic to satisfy some of his own kinks; but he only has very minor magic unless he's working on somebody else's wish. So they both struggle coming to terms with their new situations, and maybe get to understand each other a little better (or end up in a relationship?).

[For anyone reading this idea who hasn't seen my previous mentions, the Generalised Omnipotence Device is an ethereal computer system which exists partly outside the universe. When a genie, fairy, or other supernatural being has to grant a wish for a human but it's beyond the ability of their own magic, they enter the wish into the GOD using a six-dimensional quantum symbolic programming language. A lot of the time, wishes not being what the person actually wanted is because this language is very hard to master. Wishes are queued up (usually only for seconds, but at times it could be hours), and then the GOD either delegates to the genie whatever magic powers are necessary to make the wish happen, or replaces the entire universe with a new one where the wish is true. Genies and fairies never use the acronym GOD; if they have to refer to the device at all they either use its full name or call it "the system"]
