This bonus idea is dedicated to Jen-Jen. Thank you again for all of your support! Without my Ream/Inkitt/Kofi/Patreon people, I really couldn't keep on doing this.

Set in a world where, in order to reduce tension between social classes, a whole new set of groupings (known as "categories") have been established. Rather than rich or poor, which makes less and less sense in a world where most work is done by machines, people are categorised when they leave school. Sub/dom, master/slave, pet/owner, primal/prey, and a whole bunch of other options; including categories such as Creator, Academic, and Executive for people whose relationship won't be the core of their identity. You're categorised based on both interviews with your friends and classmates, a psychological assessment, and a complex written test designed to extract latent or unrecognised preferences. And once the test is completed, everyone goes through a computer-mediated hypnosis process, to condition them with the behaviours necessary to fully immerse them into their assigned role.

The main character is a bit of a people pleaser. She wants her friends to be happy, and she'll quickly try to organise whatever is necessary to make sure everyone is having fun. Some people tease her for this, but even though she is sometimes taken for granted, almost everyone likes her. But as the days count down to their categorisation ceremony, she starts to worry that her desire to please people would get her pigeonholed as a sub or slave; roles she is entirely sure she wouldn't enjoy. And she makes a desperate plan – to avoid the fate set down for her by the system, she resolves to steal a fellow student's ID badge. If she can somehow get their results entered on each other's profiles, she can ensure she is put in a different category. One that better suits her.

The perfect target for this is the cool girl in her class. It'll be slightly easier because they share most of the same classes in the final year of school, and often happen to sit close together. The cool girl is also distant and aloof, and it seems that almost everyone seeks her approval. She's got an air of mystery about her, and also a boundless confidence. Nothing ever seems to faze her, and she's one of the few members of the class who has never shown any sign of nervousness about her categorisation. Maybe she'll be a Dominant, maybe even an Empress, or maybe she'll be an Executive (responsible for steering society's trends, one of the few tasks that AI still can't manage; the human element to steer the impersonal system). Either way, that seems a better choice than being a slave. The main character isn't sure if she could fill any of those roles well, but she's sure she will try to do her best. So she switches the tags.

When it comes to the categorisation ceremony, she is suddenly nervous again. She's undergone someone else's hypnotic conditioning, but she suddenly realises that she will have her name and category called out in front of all her classmates, and come up on stage to receive her official certificate of adulthood. If the programming sitting in the back of her brain doesn't match the role that's called out, she doesn't know what will happen. She never thought this far; and she can't exactly stand up for the name that's on the electronic ID tag she is holding, because all her former teachers and classmates will know that it's not her name. She doesn't know what to do, but her instincts immediately dive into trying to find solutions; something that she is sure proves she was never slave material. Maybe she shouldn't have done this after all.

She is saved by random chance. Two names are called at the same time; her and the cool girl. They have to go up on stage and have their categorisations announced together. The system has decided they'll be perfect for each other; and at least one of them has a role which is easier to adapt to if you're not on your own. So the announcement says "Mommy and little", they both bow, and then they can leave the stage together. It's the coincidence that saved her from all kinds of trouble; even though she feels sick when she thinks about what that means; adults having their education stripped away by the category hypnosis, forced to act like little kids so those with an overdeveloped maternal instinct can enjoy raising them again.

The two talk a little. The cool girl is surprised, because she was almost certain she was straight, but she accepts the categorisation. It turns out the reason she was so confident is because she already knew what her categorisation would be; she's been into ABDL for years, and exploring her fantasies as much as she was able without an official categorisation. She even already bought a lot of the paraphernalia, which will save them money. She never realised that the main girl was a caregiver; but now that the system has said so, she can see it so clearly. She does her best to protect and nurture those around her; everything a cg should be. The main character struggles to understand this, because she doesn't really understand cgl relationships at all; it's something she never even considered. And she's not any closer to understanding what people might get out of it when the ceremony finishes, and the principal calls for everyone's attention before declaring them all adults. This activates all the posthypnotic suggestions, and the main girl immediately wets herself... she's scared, and Mommy does her best to comfort her.

But they both know that they're being pushed into roles that don't really suit them. As much as they try, it isn't going to work. But after a lot of introspection, character development, and finally a confession, it's clear that they are in the right relationship but the opposite roles from the ones they are suited for. And it's a challenge for both of them, trying to navigate the bureaucratic maze to get it fixed. The main girl feels her mind slipping away, finding it harder and harder to understand what she needs to do; while the cool girl has the right instincts to help her 'little', but doesn't have the level of organisation that would make it work. Eventually, they manage to convince someone in the government to let them change places; and neither of them has any hesitation about adopting the roles that were chosen for them.

Along the way, maybe they meet some other "miscategorised" people, and become less confident in the system as a whole. But for these two, it's clear that the system was right. The main character's desire to please everyone was a manifestation of her nurturing instincts; and the cool girl has always known she would be a little. And, although neither of them realised it because of the social dynamics around them, they were always attracted to each other on some level.

This time, the system was right. And it's a happy ever after for Mommy and baby.
