Chapter 62: Before the Salvatores

MYSTIC FALLS
WYNTER'S POV:

After Kai we settled into a normal routine. Spending our days together as on big crazy family. We trained together went to school and parties. Nik, Paul and I spent time with the girls. They soon turned a year old. Paul tried convincing me to have another all ready. Nik even joined in. Jasper, Fred and Jane were there too. Fred was content to not join in on the baby now train seeing as Jane was pregnant. Jasper just chuckled and agreed with me when I said. Not until the girls are at least 6.
Jeremy and Tyler excelled in their art. I even got Jeremy into a few graphic and digital art programs. His teacher were completely in love with his work. He even started a graphic novel, with Tyler, about a werewolf and vampire in high school. I rolled my eyes at their smirks.
Tyler and Paul ended up being the best two football players and actually led our team to a winning season, despite Tanner sucking as a coach.At the end of the school year I "convinced" him to move away. I knew this would bring Alaric here sooner then was meant to be, but honestly he was the better teacher and we needed him here for Jenna.
Tyler, Paul and Jeremy as were top players on the baseball team.All of them were excelling in martial arts and such training. Even Care and Bonnie.
When Christmas came after Bonnie's car broke down I took that as being a good time to get gifts four my four scooby gang. They each got new vehicles as Jeremy got his license.

To say they all enjoyed them was an understatement.

May finally rolled around. The night of the party we all stayed home with Jeremy and Jenna. We know they weren't the best family but they were family to them. When the call came in we didn't leave their sides. We sat with them as they waited on news of Elena at the hospital. We stood behind them at the funeral. We supported them every step of the way. Jenna took guardianship of Jeremy but refused Elena. She made John move back and take care of his daughter himself.

Jeremy and Jenna knew that truth too.
When John tried to argue that Jeremy should be at the house with him and Elena I stepped in.
John and I had a friendly chat.
I explained in detail who I was and why he would never take Jeremy from Jenna or I. I made sure he understood what would happen if he harmed any with my mark in any way. He tried to be tough about it but i broke his finger he kept pointing at me. I made him aware he held no sway and then I cursed him. He could never tell anyone the truth about me or mine. If he tried he would find he couldn't speak, write or sign it. He would also suffer pain that would increase each time he tried and wouldn't stop till he stopped his attempt.
Through the rest of the summer we made sure Jeremy was okay. That he didn't turn to drugs. Yes on occasion he smoked some pot but he never did it around the kids in the house or even in the house. I built him a smoking room. Paul joined him once in a blue moon as did Bonnie.
We decided to take a summer trip. I took everyone first to Camelot. Then we went to Disney world. Everyone got mouse ears and had fun. We took one day where all of us ladies did the princess experience. We got pampered and dressed like the different princesses. Bonnie chose Jasmine. I though Enzo was doing to choke when he saw her. Nik hand him a hankie and motioned to the drool coming out his mouth. Care decided on Cinderella. The guys took turns twirling her so her skirt flared out. Leah choose Belle. Elijah whispered or tried to that he would show her a beast tonight. Grams said screw it and did Tiana. She was made for the twenties look. The triplets were made to look like Ariel, Snow White, and Aurora. Me I didn't want to be a princess so I paid extra and had them make me look like Maleficent. The live action one. Enzo handed Nik his hankie back pointing at the corner of his mouth. Paul smirked and whispered in my ear "It's good to be bad."
Soon it was back to Mystic Falls. Soon Care, Bonnie, Leah and I took a weekend back o New York for back to school shopping. Before we left I got the four of us matching bracelets that were charmed to let us know when we needed each other.

We returned from New York and spent that final weekend together ready for the hell that is Elena's doppleganger drama to break loose on Mystic falls.
