SPRING YEAR 2 THE "PRISON" NORTHERN GEORGIA WYNTER'S POV: (I know it is supposed to be more southern but figured this worked better for a reason for long travel and getting them going in the right direction)
It took months to get through all the traffic snarls, back roads, walker herds and even a rare freak snow storm that had us stationary for almost three weeks. Even after all that we were close only a few miles from the prison. I could already feel the magic from all the wards Bill had placed for me. Carl and Sophia both hit a growth spurt during the months in the road.

There could be no doubt that the baby Lori was carrying was Shane's either. She was due any day now. That put the conception before Rick joined us. While Rick has not moved forward with a bond with us, he refuses to have anything to do with Lori anymore. He told her they were no longer married, she made her bed no she got to lay in it. She of course blamed me. Carl has noticed her hatred and get behavior and then there is her neglect of him. She ignores him all the time. If it wasn't for my mates, Jeremy, Jordon, I and even Tom, Carl would have been in trouble plenty of times. The only time Lori pays attention to him is when Rick is looking. So Carl spends most of his time with Rick, my mates, Jeremy, Jordan, Sophia and I. We try and make sure he always feels loved.
Finally we reached the main gates.
