Chapter 21: Beginning of the Last

SEPTEMBER 1,2000
BLACK MANOR - HOGWARTS EXPRESS
WYNTER'S POV:

I was sleeping so soundly even through the normal chaos that was the 1st day of September. Slowly I began to become aware of someone cuddled up to me kissing my shoulders and nuzzling my neck. I smiled and turned to see Nik.
"Good morning Love." He said.
"Good morning"  I said as I kissed his cheek and then sat up." Time to get ready I take it?"
"Yes afraid so love." He sat on my bed leaning against the head board as he watched me. "Are you ready for this year my love?"

I sighed but nodded. "As ready as one can be. I'm not worried though I will have you and Fred beside me. That is all I need to know everything will turn out well."
He smiled and nodded. "Too right love. Get ready I will meet you downstairs." He got up and left.
I got up and went to quickly get ready.

Once ready I joined my family as we ate discussing what was to come. While the adults were still nervous. They would be there to support me because we all knew that the old goat would enter me even if I didn't want to. I am sure he thinks he can use it to get rid of me.
All too soon it is time to leave. We get to the station and as we walk through the crowd you can see my father with Harry and his family, but there does seem to be something different in his eyes this time. I don't pay it much attention though I have enough to worry about. Soon my court and I are settled into our cabin. Looking around I get their attention.
"This year Hogwarts is hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament. I don't want any of you entering it. This is just another way Dumbledore is going to try and control Harry and most likely try to get rid of me. I want you all safe. This foolish tournament is nothing but death games and I won't have you caught in his trap."
They all looked contemplative for a few moments thinking on what I said and nod agreeing they won't enter.

"Now that being handled this will be some of ours last year here. We will be finishing the school year as will as the needed fight. If all goes well we will take our NEWTS at the ministry the first week after the end of school. Those of you who will be following us to America are welcome to do so when we go or follow us later. You will always have a home with me and mine. Should you like you have the choice of going straight to Camelot as well. It is just something for you to think on."
I then turn and cuddle into Nick's chest as Fred leans his head onto my shoulder so we can relax for the rest of our trip.

HOGWARTS GREAT HALL
WELCOME FEAST
WYNTER'S POV:

We arrived at the great hall and took our places at the table. Waiting for the sorting ceremony. Everyone is excited. Once the sorting and feast were done Dumblewhore stands. Everyone gives him their attention as he begins to speak.

"This year Hogwarts has the honor to host the famous Tri-Wizard tournament. October 29th we will welcome the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy, as well as the sons of Draumstrung. They will join us for the school year. A single champion will be chosen from each school by an impartial judge. Further more the tournament will be open to only be open to those students who are of legal age, meaning 18 or older. Now because of this tournament we will not be having Quidditch this year either."
When he finished the hall erupted into chaos. I shook my head. Once he got us all quieted down he dismissed us to our dorms. Neville, Cedric and Luna of course joined us. After the usual welcome speeches and then making sure no one wished to challenge me I looked to everyone gathered.

"This tournament is not something to look forward to. It is lethal and a way for Dumbledore to try and control some of our lives. Now that being said I will not out right ban Slytherins from entering I just urge caution. I myself will not enter, but I know there is one who will see to it I am entered.  If you enter and are chosen know that you will have my aid as well as Slytherin house support in this endeavor."
I look out over the room then add. "There will also be a Yule ball. Any that need dance lessons before then may sign up. Remember Slytherin is about respect and we will show we deserve it. Now off to bed."
Fred, Nik and I all went to my room. I sat on my bed between them and then looked to Nik. "My birthday."
Was all I said. He furrowed his brows confused and looked to Fred who shrugged just as confused. "What about it love?"
I blushed deeply and then said softly, "That night after the champions are chosen. That is the night I want to be with you both for the first time. We will be given the next day off from classes because of not only the excitement the night before but because the champions have to do meetings and such."
Neither Fred nor Nik said anything. I was starting to feel incredibly self conscious. I began to ramble. "I mean if you don't want to we don't have to I was just thinking I am ready to complete our bonds...." Nick quickly shut me up kissing me passionately while Fred kissed the side of my neck holding my waist.
"No love if that is in you are ready then we are as well. If you change your mind let us know. You know we want to be with you more then anything."
"Nik is right kitten. We want you. Always will. You just took us by surprise is all. My only suggestion is you be with Nik that night and choose another for us. I know Nik will be there, but I don't want us to over do it your first time."
I thought about it and nodded . " All right Fred. Perhaps we will wait for that weekend after for you and I."
"That's fine kitten."
With that we cuddled a bit more then we separated and found our beds for our night's sleep.
