Chapter 45: Newborn Battle and Wow what a surprise!

JUNE 2006
WOODS BATTLEFIELD
WYNTER'S POV:

The day dawned early and we all gathered at the field. Seth was with Edward and Bella. The wolves knew to hide till the newborns arrived. Once they did I was putting a boundary up so they couldn't escape.

Soon we heard them coming. They ran from the tree line in a frenzy. The minute they were all there I put the spell up and we all sprang into action. Working together to insure we killed them. Niklaus saved Sam when he was surrounded. I stood in the center using my magic to hold them in place with vines and pain. 5 at a time. Jasper and Paul made sure nothing got to me. Elijah helped Esme and Carlisle. It didn't take long and we had the fire going incinerating what remained of them. All but 2. They didn't wish to fight. They didn't want any part of this life or war. Knowing the Volturi wouldn't spare them I quickly went to them. Seeing their memories knowing they were being truthful I gave both of them my mark and blessing so they couldn't be harmed. Just then Edward and Bella showed up. There was no extra newborn to attack so Jacob didn't get injured. He walked over to join the pack as we told them they needed to go. As he did he looked at Bree and dropped to his belly. He had imprinted. I think we all thought about fucking time. Bella though screeched furious. I agreed she could go with the pack but would have to leave with Leah, Angie and Elijah to come to my house for training. He agreed readily and she smiled leaving with the pack.
It was at this point that the Volturi guard arrived. I smiled as my bonded and I stood near the Cullens. The woman Rachel with us. The end result went smoothly. The guards left with promises to keep in touch with me and to check in on Bella again later.
We all returned to the Cullen house. When we were getting situated it happened. Edward announced to Bella they were done he had found his true mate and he would be with no other. Rachel the other Newborn was his mate.
The hissy fit that Bella threw was epic. We had to call her father to come get her after we spelled her to sleep. Edward explained all the broken things in the living room were because he broke up with her. Poor Charlie was beyond embarrassed he offered to pay for the damages but Esme just waved him off. Saying not to worry about it. He took her home and Edward and the family got to know Rachel.

A few days after the battle we were all at the Cullens celebrating. The Pack, Bonded and Cullens. Suddenly Edward announced he and Rachel were to be married soon and everyone was invited. The inhuman screech that came from the doorway alerted us to the party crasher. Instead of throwing a fit Bella tried to get Jacob to comfort her. He in turn told everyone he and Bree were also engaged but it would be a long engagement as they wanted to finish school. Bella stormed out screaming after she was then told she would not be changed by the Cullens. She would have to go to the Volturi. Carlisle did say and give her an open ticket for it saying it was only fair they paid for the air fare as they were the reason she had to go back.

BELLA POV:

I just know it is that bitch Wynter's fault. If it wasn't for her freaky ass I would have all the boys as mine and my immortality. I would be queen of the vampires and the pack. No one would deny me anything as I would be rich young and beautiful.
I just have to figure out how to kill her. Maybe the Volturi will help me.
Yeah I can tell them she is building an army to destroy them. That if they change me I can help kill her and ensure they go unchallenged. I will finally get everything I deserve.
With that thought I took my ticket and went home to get ready to make my journey.
