Emily's point of view

We just watched Yelena make her way back to the building to try and get Beca out but as she got close, she turned around and started running back towards us then the building exploded and the rest of the building collapsed. Massive smoke clouds billow out from the building and I've lost sight of Yelena. Chloe and I are just holding each other sobbing because we don't know how either of our partners is doing.

After what feels like forever, the smoke finally starts to clear and the fire is put out by the fire fighters. I stand up and slowly walk towards the wreckage from what once was the apartment building.

,,Yelena?!" I yell as I make my way through the wreckage. I pass pieces of the ceilings and parts of the walls. A little bit of smoke here and there. ,,Yelena?!" I try again, while I search further. ,,Yelena, where are you?" I go through the piles and keep going. I see other people getting put on stretchers in the ambulances, but none of them is Yelena. ,,Yelena?!" I yell again and then I see her lying on her back with her eyes closed. I run towards her and drop to my knees, while I put my hands on her cheeks. ,,Yelena?" I ask her and shake her carefully. I smile when I see her eyes open. She smiles up at me.

,,We're both upside down." She says with a smirk on her face.

,,No, just you." Yelena sits upright while groaning. I hold her, so she needs to look at me.

,,Hey you." She says.

,,Hey." I put my hand on her shoulder. ,,Thank you for trying to get Beca, they are still looking for her." A tear appears in my eyes.

,,You don't have to say that."

,,I love you." It's the first time I say this to Yelena, not knowing if she feels the same and afraid that I've lost her. Yelena smiles, clearly emotional, and puts our foreheads together.

,,I love you too, Emily." I laugh through my tears and pull her in for a hug. We are brought out of our hug by firefighters coming out of the building with a body in their arms.

,,That's Beca." I say and help Yelena up.

,,How do you know?"

,,Because of the headphone tattoo on her left wrist." I point towards Beca's wrist. I look over toward Chloe and see her trying to run to Beca desperately. She's held back by police officers though.

Chloe's point of view

I just watched Yelena disappear into the smoke. Emily went over to the building to find Yelena but my eyes can't stop looking at the building, praying that they find Beca. Lena holds me, rubbing my back to comfort me. I keep watching until firefighters come out with a limp body in their arms. It takes me a while to notice the tattoo on the left wrist and try to run toward the body but I'm held back by police officers. I look at Ryan still in Kara's arms who's being checked out by another paramedic, while he's holding two red panda stuffed animals. I can hear Ryan tell the officer that one of those red pandas is Beca's and my heart warms.

,,Well, your mother was very smart to put the wet towel over you to keep you safe while you walked out." The paramedic looks at me now. ,,His lungs sound clear and it doesn't look like he has any signs of smoke inhalation damage but I would recommend bringing him in for observation, just to be sure." I nod.

,,Will we go to the same hospital as the person who they pulled out?" The paramedic gives me a sad look.

,,Yes, we can do that." I nod again.

,,Okay, can we go now? I want to get there when she does." I see Yelena and Emily get into one ambulance, while Ryan and I are loaded into another ambulance. Kara and Lena say they will meet us there.

Once at the hospital we are unloaded and brought into a room for Ryan to be checked out.

,,Has the girl from the fire been brought in yet?" I ask the nurse who comes into the room.

,,Yes, she was but she hasn't woken up yet. She is okay. All she ended up with is a broken arm and smoke inhalation. She was very lucky."

,,Is she alive?"

,,Yes, she was brought in with a pulse and she never lost it during the time she has been in the hospital. The smoke did a number on her lungs, so it's up to her now when she will wake up."

,,Can I see her? Like is it possible for Ryan to be put in the same room with her?" I ask hopefully.

,,Let me see what I can do." The nurse leaves the room and I send our siblings a message in the group chat about what happened, so they can come here to visit Beca too.
