Chloe's point of view

The two weeks of waiting are over and we just finished moving into the new house. Life is starting to settle down, since we have our forever home, I'm the new manager of Mrs. Fuller's second location and Beca and I are trying to become parents again. I'm happy with everything that's happening to us.

Finding our house was a blessing, especially after the first house fell through. I never blamed Beca for backing out. She just lost her child, but I was sad. Both of us loved the first house we picked. I was surprised that our real estate agent agreed to help us out again. I was afraid she wouldn't because of what happened to the first house.

Beca and I are secretly glad that the first house didn't go through, because this house is even better. This house is a place we can use for family gatherings, holiday celebrations and so much more. The first house didn't have as much space. I never imagined that we would be able to have a house this lavish but I'm married to someone who spares no expenses and always does what she can to provide for Ryan and I. It's really touching and just makes me love her more, even though I don't always express that to Beca.

The biggest benefit to the new house is how close it is to the new restaurant. It's only a fifteen minute drive, so I can drive to work quickly and come back home just as quick. Beca doesn't have that anymore. When we lived at the apartment, Beca only had like a ten minute walk to get to work and now she has to drive one hour to work. That's also a reason to love her. She's always willing to sacrifice something in her life for me.

A benefit of being the manager for this restaurant is that I have a free hand to decorate, paint and furnish it to my taste. The only thing I'm not allowed to do is change the name "Panini Grill".

It's also up to me to hire new staff members, so that is what today is for. Beca brought Ryan with her to her office, which means I have all day to figure out who to hire. Thankfully Mrs. Filler was nice enough to let me take one of my colleagues from the diner, who had been there as long as I had, with me. Together we were able to generate some buzz about the new restaurant because I posted about it on my social media pages and I asked Beca to post about it as well. I think Beca posting about it helps get a lot of customers, since she's world famous.

I'm making my way to the restaurant when I see a line of people wrapped around the building with papers in their hands and dressed nicely. I'm grateful that Mrs. Fuller agreed to my idea of a big parking lot, with enough space to fit not only cars from staff members but also cars from customers. I pull onto the parking lot and park my car in my own parking spot. I take a few deep breaths, before getting out, locking my car and going inside the restaurant through the back.

I put my purse down on my desk and take off my jacket before grabbing my laptop and a pad of paper. I get out of my office and go sit in one of our booths, where I set up everything for the interviews. I wave to Mrs. Fuller who agreed to help me with the interviews. Part of the reason for that is that she wants to ensure the good name of her restaurant doesn't change. It doesn't take me long to set up the table, so afterwards I grab two glasses of water. One for Mrs. Fuller and one for myself.

,,Good morning Chloe, are you ready to start the interviews?" Mrs. Fuller asks me with a big smile on her face. I'm happy she's just as enthusiastic as I am.

,,I think so. This is so exciting!" I squeal happily, before sighing. ,,I just hope I can find some good workers with good attitudes like you have at the diner."

,,That's the joy of interviews. Now, go on and open the door so we can get this started. The sooner we hire people, the sooner you can open this location." Mrs. Fuller says as she sits down at the booth. I nod and quickly walk to the doors, take a deep breath and open the door.
