☆Beca's point of view☆
After Chloe accepted Mrs. Fuller's offer to run the restaurant in Staten Island, I've been searching on the internet for houses in Staten Island, while Chloe has been finishing her duties in the diner. She's happy to start working as the boss and she can't wait to bring Ryan to school.
First we wanted Ryan to go to school close to Central Park, but now we're about to move to Staten Island, it's better to find a school close to our new house and the new restaurant. Chloe has been in charge of finding a new school for Ryan, since she's his mother and she has found one close to the house we want.
I have been on Google Maps too, just to see how much time I need to drive to get to work. Chloe only has a five minute drive to Ryan's school, if we chose that school, and then seven minutes to the new restaurant. She's close to everything, while I have to drive almost fifty minutes. Not that I mind, because I will do everything for Chloe and Ryan, but it will be hard sometimes.
I'm glad Chloe agreed with me to put a hold on moving into a bigger house. She wanted to move right away after she said 'yes' to Mrs. Fuller, but I just couldn't. The thought of moving made me sad and reminded me of what I've lost. Luckily Chloe understood my pain and stuck by my side throughout all of it.
So, that's the plan from the moment we move in. I tell Sutton through the phone, while discussing how to continue working when Chloe and I have moved.
That doesn't sound too bad, but then you have to promise me that when you're here, you will stay as long as you can. The boys want their first album and you're the only producer they want. They love all your songs you've written and they think you are the only one who can make them world famous.
I know Sutton, but Chloe and Ryan come before everything. I know their album will be the best we can make. Which days did you have in mind for me to be at the office?
Well, what about Monday until Thursday, and then every other weekend? Serena said she will take the Friday's and the weekends you're off.
I agree on that every other weekend, but if I have to work on the weekend, I want the Monday after free. It's quiet on the other end of the line for a small moment.
Okay, what about this? One week you will work on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. And the other week you work on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. How does that sound?
And which day of those am I working at home?
Do you want to work at home? I mean, you won't be here everyday. I thought this would give you enough time to be at home.
You're right and those days are perfect for now, but what if Chloe's pregnant?
Chloe's pregnant?
Not yet, but we want to grow our family.
If Chloe has gotten into labor and given birth to the baby, I think I can allow you to work at home for two and a half months so you can be there for Chloe and the baby, but I have to discuss that with Mr. Reynolds too. I can't promise anything right now, I hope you understand.
I understand. I want to thank Sutton for listening to me, but get another call. Sorry, Sutton but I have another call. I will see you tomorrow at work, okay?
Of course, good luck with house hunting today. Let me know if you found your dream house.
I will. Talk to you later.
And then I hung up. I look at my screen, curious about who's also calling me. I raise my eyebrows when I see her name, but pick up.
Aubrey, what can I do for you today?
