☆Emma's point of view☆

Last night Emily came to my house with concern about Beca. After the horrible miscarriage both Chloe and Beca are dealing with the news differently. Chloe is moving on as best as she can. Yes, she is still devastated about the news but she has Ryan to take care of. Chloe chose not to let this take her down. Beca on the other hand, is blocking the drama out with alcohol. According to Emily she's working her ass off to amazing mashups and she has written new songs, but while doing that she's drinking a lot of alcohol.

I'm on my way to the studio, thinking about how to talk to Beca. I'm worried that she might want to commit suicide as I see the amount of alcohol she's drinking. The miscarriage was four weeks ago and she has been avoiding Chloe all that time. She's working and sleeping in her office, that has to end. She needs Chloe and Chloe needs her. They need to mourn together.

As I arrive at the studio, Emily and Sutton are immediately coming over to me.

,,Emma, it's worse now. She locked herself inside her office." Emily says, a face full of concern. ,,What if she hurts herself?"

,,I think I can get through to her. Do you have a key?" I look over at Sutton and she nods, gesturing for me to follow her into her office.

,,Last week I didn't know what happened, but Emily told me and I get why she's like this. Nevertheless, Beca has been writing some really good songs the last few weeks."

,,Look Sutton, I know you're Beca's boss and that you care about the music but there are more important things in life than a career." I tell her, while taking the keys from her hand. ,,Beca is broken and I'm here to try and fix her. Now if you would excuse me." Sutton nods and I walk over to Beca's office, only to be scared of something flying through the window. I look through the broken window and hate what I see. Beca throwing things through her office, breaking picture frames, papers that are falling on the ground. I quickly open the office with the key and rush inside. ,,What are you doing?" I ask her. Beca just shouts and throws other things from closets. ,,Baby girl, stop it." Now she throws all sorts of things towards me.

,,Go away!" She yells, while throwing other things to the floor. Everything is lying broken on the floor. My heart breaks but I need to let her know I'm here for her.

,,Honey, please stop." I rushed over to her and put my arms around her, forcing her into a hug. ,,Stop it. It's okay. I'm here for you, I love you." I say and feel her relax in my arms. I walk towards the couch that she has in her office and sit down. Beca doesn't say a word. I wait patiently. Waiting for an outburst, waiting for the nervous spew, waiting for the break of silence. But it never comes. It's a disturbing silence. A silence and heavy with emotion, with pain. I squeeze Beca's hand, just to let her know I'm here for her. That's all it takes for Beca and she lets out a strangled sob. Her straight posture collapses against me and she throws her arms around me. She lets out another giant sob, followed by another and another. She's babbling, at first not at all and then all at once, shaking her head and both pushing herself away from me and pulling herself closer. It seems to be never ending. I hear mutterings of "I'm sorry" over and over again. I also hear "It's all my fault" a lot of times.

,,No, that's not true. What happened wasn't your fault, Bec." She looks at me now.

,,If I didn't work so hard, I would have a baby in five months. I overworked myself and killed our baby."

,,Beca, please. This isn't your fault." I sigh. ,,Look, I get how you're feeling but alcohol isn't the answer. You need to talk to Chloe. She lost her baby too, you know? Don't ignore her." Beca looks at me skeptically and mad.

,,No, you do not get it, Em!" Beca goes through her hair frustrated. ,,What part of what I just said didn't you get?! I killed our baby and failed them. Chloe and Ryan will never forgive me for this. Hell, I can't even forgive myself. They deserve better!"
