Since Kara forced me back home after the tour, I have been trying to be there again for both Chloe and Ryan. It's still hard, but I feel like I'm getting there.

Today I want to take Chloe to our cabin in upstate New York, so we can escape the city and I can destress. She doesn't know about my plan yet, but she will.

I walk upstairs, after secretly calling Chloe's boss to tell her what I planned. Mrs. Fuller loved the idea and said I could take Chloe only for one week, since she needed her in the diner.

,,Chlo, are you here?" I ask when I walk into our bedroom, but soon enough I hear the shower running. I smirk and sneak into the bathroom, making no sound. Just as I'm about to move the curtain away, Chloe turns off the shower and pulls away the curtain. She startles when she sees me but is quick to smirk.

,,Hey you," She says and steps out of the shower, completely naked and not trying to cover herself up. But then again, I have seen it all before. ,,were you planning on sneaking into the shower or did you just want to see me naked?"

,,Oh, seeing you naked every day, yes please. Where can I sign up?" I joke, making her laugh. I love that I can still make her laugh even after I've hurt her by distancing myself.

,,You can check me out every morning if you want." Chloe gives me a wink.

,,I don't need to anymore." Chloe pretends to be offended.

,,Why not?"

,,Because at this point... I've got it memorized." I point out all of her body with my finger. ,,It's a shame you have to cover it up." She smiles.

,,Well, I can't go to work naked, right?" She dries herself with a towel before walking back into our bedroom. I follow her and wait until she's dressed in a gorgeous dress, before wrapping my arms around her waist.

,,Good thing I called Mrs. Fuller. You don't have to work today." She turns around in my arms.

,,What do you mean?"

,,I want to take you somewhere where we can be alone. There we can talk about everything and if you are amazing by forgiving me, we can do something else." I kiss her neck and she hums in approval.

,,Becs, that sounds amazing, but we never make that in just one day."

,,I have thought about that and we're going there for a whole week." Her eyes widen now.

,,A whole week? What about Ryan? Becs, we can't leave him here alone for a whole week."

,,Baby, calm down. I have called Emma and she would love to have Ryan stay over." Chloe agrees to come with me after hearing that and together we pack our bags. I can see Chloe is hesitating about this a little bit, but I can also see that she's excited to spend a whole week alone with me. It doesn't take long for us to be packed and ready and we walk over to Ryan's room. ,,Are you ready to go to Emma's, little dude?" I ask him.

,,No, why can't I come with you, mama?" He asks sadly. I look over to Chloe, who has a sad expression on her face. I understand. Watching your son being sad, breaks your heart. I wouldn't know because Grace is dead.

,,Because mommy and I need to talk. Just some grown up stuff, nothing for you to worry about. It has nothing to do with you, okay?" I let him know, before he can ask that question Chloe is afraid of. He nods and wraps his tiny arms around me.

,,Please promise to come back with mommy." He says and I look him in the eye.

,,Hey, I told you I'm not leaving and I will hold onto that promise. I love your mommy so much. Nothing can change that, okay?" He smiles and holds me for a minute longer before grabbing his small, but full, suitcase.
