Mikhail Melnik was the top realtor in all of Texas. He loved what he did and excelled in every avenue with his older brother by his side.
Matvei Melnik was significantly rough around the edges when compared to his angelic younger brother, but the va...
Alyssa found herself laughing heartily at the text on her phone. In the following days Winter had proven to be a worthwhile friend and she was both thankful and appreciative.
She didn't think she'd have that. A worthwhile friend. Alyssa was the freak in the orphanage and then the outcast in school. That didn't seem to matter to Winter though.
She accepted her and somehow got her to open up about her childhood faster than anyone she'd ever encountered. The fact was Winter knew Alyssa in ways Mikhail didn't and that was purposeful. It helped that Winter was also an orphan who bounced around foster homes.
They shared a similar sort of sadness that didn't have to be explained and each woman appreciated that.
Winnie: You better wear what I picked out! I'm trying to see something.
Alyssa: What could you possibly be trying to see? This outfit is team too much.
Winnie: Don't worry about it! The outfit is perfect so hush. You and your man better show up on time too. No pitstops to rub one out!
Alyssa: WHAT?!?! You're so ridiculous!
Winnie: lol I know it! See you soon boo!
Alyssa shook her head with a chuckle at Winter's foolishness. It was finally Thursday night and Alyssa found out that Winter's invite went out to more people than just her.
It seemed a few Melnik men would be in attendance along with Angel and a few of the Melnik Bros. employees she had met at her home. Alyssa brought up the fact that the men to women ratio seemed skewed, but Winter simply brushed her off and brought up her friend Keisha who would also be in attendance.
Keisha was Arseny's girlfriend and Winter swore she'd love her. Alyssa couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive. She enjoyed her dynamic with Winter, but she wasn't sure if their newfound friendship was secure enough to withstand an already formed one.
"It's fine. This isn't high school." Alyssa whispered to herself before looking over the outfit Winter had picked out. She thought it was way too much for a kickback, but Winter stated over and over that it was perfect for what she had in mind. Whatever that meant.

Alyssa heard her front door open and smiled. Mikhail had always had access to the show house, but respected her enough to wait for her to give the go ahead to move accordingly. He was sweet like that and now had permission to come and go as he pleased.
Mikhail continued to show her just how great of a boyfriend he was at every turn and it was refreshing. They spent last night at his place where he treated her to his favorite Russian dishes.
Alyssa had no idea that Mikhail could cook and was further shocked to learn that Matvei was the better of the two. She also realized that if all Russian dishes tasted as good as beef stroganoff and pirozhki she'd be eating Russian all day every day.
