It was Monday night and Matvei was over it. He would usually be drinking and watching football, but in an attempt to escape the tormenting images that were Alyssa or her full breasts, Matvei opted to a dinner with Emma.
It was hard to believe that a little over a month ago, Matvei was buried deep inside her. Now the thought of them being intimate made him gag. Emma was great, but she wasn't Alyssa and that fact pissed him off.
Anger. It was where he orbited as of late and especially when it came to Alyssa Noelle Jacobs. He was so angry at the feelings she pulled from him. Matvei was over the emotions that bubbled up inside of him every time he thought of her which was always. He was tired of being angry over her, so against his better judgement he agreed to dinner with Emma.
He regretted it the moment he walked into the restaurant. Emma stated they needed to catch up and he obliged. He believed her. That was his first mistake.
Matvei was not expecting that this dinner between former fuck buddies would actually be a blindsided double date with Emma's girlfriend, Drew and Drew's cousin.
Matvei couldn't understand how Emma would think this was a good idea but as he watched her plead with her big, blue eyes for him to participate he realized Emma would do anything for Drew and this was clearly her idea.
He wasn't sure if Drew was threatened by him or not, but what he did know was her cousin was a Great Value version of Kylie Jenner and she was Harlem shaking on his last nerve.
"I can't believe I'm on a date with the big, bad Matvei Melnik." Matvei didn't even hide the eyeroll. He and Mikhail weren't known throughout Texas like Dallas Lewis and Asher Reynolds but they were noteworthy names in Austin.
Their work mostly spoke for itself but after losing a bet to Mikhail and being forced to do a commercial for Melnik Brothers, people now had faces with the prominent names and it added to the appeal.
"You're really handsome, you know that?" Matvei looked at her manicured fingers that were tracing invisible lines on his forearm before looking at her. She gave him a seductive smile that made him want to vomit.
He turned a glare to Emma who simply squeaked and gulped. It was obvious that just like her cousin, Drew was oblivious to Matvei's apparent mood. Emma knew Matvei was pissed and rightfully so.
Matvei was not a touchy feely guy and hated girls who were, especially in public. Drew's cousin was proving to be the type of woman Matvei loathed by taking every chance possible to caress his bulging chest or arm. When she tried to stroke his hair, Matvei grabbed her arm a bit forcefully in warning.
"What did you say your name was?" Matvei gritted out as he pushed her hand away. The pout on her face made him want to laugh in her face. "Madison. We already have the matching M names going for us." She winked and he swallowed a scoff.
"I'm going to murder you." Matvei mouthed to Emma who simply apologized with her eyes for the hundredth time. "So, Matvei I think it's fair to assume you're single. My cousin here is also single. I think you two would be great together." Drew smiled.
"I don't recall asking for your fucking thoughts, Drew." Emma sighed loudly as Drew and Madison's eyes widened. Matvei couldn't believe they were that clueless as to why this setup was all wrong and on so many levels.
"Just give her a chance, M." Matvei turned a severe glare towards Emma that forced her to look down in shame. "I promise I'm a lot of fun." Madison purred as she placed a hand on his thigh and Matvei wanted to punt her into lake Travis.
"Let's just order." Matvei barked out as he was actually hungry and it wasn't helping his current attitude. Emma waved down the waitress frantically and ordered numerous shots of vodka and extra appetizers to hold Matvei over.
