Colet's POV:

I woke up to the refreshing air in my room, even though I only had an electric fan, it was already quite chilly. Next time, I'll be able to buy an air conditioner.

I uncovered myself from the blanket, neatly folded it, and placed it on top of my pillow. Our apartment isn't very spacious, but it fits the five of us.

I picked up my towel and began my morning routine because today is the day I'm searching for a job. I need to work hard for my family. I want to help them because their income isn't very high to sustain us.

My name is Maria Nicolette Vergara, 24 years old, but I prefer to be called Colet since my full name sounds very traditional Filipina. I come from a happy and content family. While we're not very wealthy, my parents' earnings are sufficient for us siblings.

I am the eldest, and I've recently graduated from college, so I immediately started looking for a job. Thanks to the scholarship, I was able to finish my studies. My younger sibling also received a scholarship and this is her final year in college.

After showering, I quickly put on casual clothes for the interview. I looked at myself in the mirror with a wide smile.

"Who would have thought na makakasuot ako ng ganitong damit at makakapagtrabaho sa mga kilalang kumpanya." I chatted to myself, looking at my reflection and even struck a pose because my appearance was very presentable.

"Hay nako, Colet! Ang arte mo! 'Di ka perfect, maganda ka lang." I uttered before descending the stairs and found my mother preparing breakfast.

"Good morning, Ma! Good morning, Jasmine!" I joyfully greeted my mother and the lively six-year-old child happily eating at the table.

Mama: "Good morning, anak! Kain ka na." She responded, so I grabbed my own plate, spoon, and fork, and joined them.

Jasmine: "Good morning, Ma-ma. Ayabyu!" She replied with a stutter and immediately kissed my cheek as I sat down, which made me laugh. Feeling ko may kiss mark ng mantika sa pisngi ko. Ramdam ko yung lagkit eh, pero okay lang, cute naman si Jasmine.

I quickly grabbed some eggs and dried fish(tuyo) and started eating to avoid getting caught in traffic.

"Ma, asan nga pala si Papa at si Shee?" I asked before taking a sip of my coffee.

Mama: "Yung papa mo maagang pumunta sa construction. Si bunso naman ay sinundo noong kaibigan niya. Yung laging naka-kotse." She responded, so I just nodded.

My mom told me that someone, with a car, was picking up my sister. They were at the same dance club, and apparently, the person is the president of the dance club. So, my silly sister agreed to ride with that someone since she gets to ride for free.

My morning quickly came. I promptly handed the fare to the tricycle driver.

"Salamat ho manong!" I thanked him happily and immediately got off, facing a very large building.

This is the first company I visited because they say this company is well-managed. It's often in the news for their successful projects, so I decided to apply here.
