Chapter 55 - Wonderful day

Jhoanna's POV:

Colet and I just arrived at the hotel from our whole day trip. We just rested for a while before I used the bathroom first.

After I took a bath and wore my PJs, it was her turn to use the bathroom. So while waiting for her, I called Daddy first to find out new evidence about Colet's incident.

In call.....

“Hi, Daddy. Any good news?”

Daddy: “Just a little time to catch that person before you can come back here. Malapit na anak, malapit na.”

“That's good to hear po. I just couldn't bear to be at peace knowing that the shooter of Nicolette is still roaming everywhere. Mas malala kung pati pamilya niya ang madamay.”

Daddy: “You need not be concerned about that. Just relax and take a break from everything. Nga pala, kamusta na si Nicolette?”

“She is doing fine and is still recovering. I advised her to rest because her chest had a little discomfort the night before, and we had just returned from a full day trip as we hadn't done it yesterday.”

Daddy: “Mabuti naman kung ganoon. Mag-enjoy lang kayo dyan mga anak.”

“How about Tito and Tita po? Sila Sheena and Jasmine? How are they?”

Daddy: “They are fine. I had security guards scattered around their home. You don't have to worry about us, everything is fine here.”

“Thank you, Daddy. Pasensya na po sa abala. You should be enjoying yourself and just resting.”

Daddy: “Tintin, from the way you talk, it's like you're the older one here than your father. Gagawin ko ang lahat basta maprotektahan ka lang, anak. Hindi ka isang abala sa akin.”

“Thank you, Daddy. When it's all over, babawi po ako sa inyo ni Mommy. I love you po!”

Daddy: “Hahaha, sige na. Ibababa ko na at baka umiyak ka pa dyan. Baka sabihin ni Colet pinapaiyak ko ang Babu niya HAHAHA. Bye, anak!”

“Bye, Daddy! I love you po. Send my regards to all, especially Mommy.”

Daddy: “I love you too, my Tintin. See you soonest.”

End call.....

Colet: “Who's that, Babu?” She spoke from behind that made me look at her direction. I didn't realize she had come out of the bathroom.

“It was Daddy who called. Nagtanong lang ako ng balita about the investigation.”

Colet: “Is there any findings?”

“A lot. Onting oras nalang, malalaman na natin kung sino ang taong 'yon.”

Colet: “Buti naman. How about them? Kamusta na silang lahat daw?”

“Okay naman daw silang lahat. Protected and secured sila ni Daddy.”

I walk near the bed and placed my phone on the side table. Then, I fixed the sheet of our bed to go straight to bed later. After that, I noticed Colet was finished preparing herself and went on the bed next to me.
