Chapter 46 - Soon

Colet's POV:

If last week was busy, this week is even worse. My boss and I need to do extra work, reading through projects, signing proposals, and typing letters.

Jho and I wouldn't be in this situation if we didn't have plans next week. Alam niyo ba yung lakad namin? Syempre yung plano ng mga kaibigan niya na hindi man lang tinanong ang desisyon namin. So now we're busy finishing up the tasks we need to submit.

It's already 7:25 pm, and there are still three piles of documents on Jhoanna's table to work on. We should have gone home by 7 o'clock, but it looks like we'll be working overtime because of these papers.

Jho, being a strict boss, won't leave the company until she finishes her work. Though she told me earlier not to wait for her and to go home because my working hours are over. But of course, I won't let her stay here alone.

I've finished the paperwork she assigned me. I'm just staring at her while she's busy scanning documents on her laptop. She seemed to notice someone staring at her, so she looked up and paused in her work.

Jhoanna: “Babu, you don't have to stay and wait for me. Baka hinahanap ka na sa inyo, lalo na si Jasmine.” Malambing na usap nito at halata na ang pagod sa boses. Mas lalo kitang hindi iiwan kung ganyan na kapagod ang mga mata mo.

“It's okay, Babu. Tumawag na ako sa bahay at mas gusto nilang samahan kita kesa umuwi ako at iwan ka dito.”

Jhoanna: “Then what will you do while waiting? Baka mapagod ka lang lalo sa kakatingin sa akin.”

“Handa akong maghintay kahit gaano katagal, Jho.” Seryosong usap ko rito na nagpataas ng kilay niya sabay ngiti when she realized the double meaning of what I said.

Jhoanna: “Ahhh so payag ka kahit matagal?” She said while smirking before taking off her eyeglass. Smart girl indeed.

“I'm pertaining to your paperworks, Babu. I'm willing to wait until you finish your work.” Nakangising paglusot ko rito, dahilan para tumawa ito.

Jhoanna: “HAHAHA I'm also pertaining to the paperwork too, Colet. Do you want me to prolong scanning these documents?” She asked, then she put down her glasses on her desk.

“Mukhang gagabihin tayo sa tambak ng papers sa desk mo. I guess I need to buy something for dinner.”

Jhoanna: “We can order naman and deliver it here in the office para hindi ka na mapagod pa.”

"I'll just buy dinner for us since I don't have anything else to do. Besides, I won't get tired serving you."

Jhoanna: "Hmm, that's actually better. Because if you're here, you'll just flirt with me until I can't finish my work."

“Oo nga noh? You're so smart talaga. Dito nalang pala ako kasama mo, magpadeliver nalang tayo, Babu.” Kaya naman napailing nalang ito.

Jhoanna: “Iba talaga 'pag harutan ang usapan. Napakabilis mong magdesisyon.”

“Syempre ganoon ang mga Vergara. Walang mabagal sa pamilya namin. Ikaw lang naman dito ang matagal akong sagutin HAHAHAH” Pagbibiro ko rito.

Jhoanna: “Why? Are you tired of waiting?” She seriously asked, her smile fading away because of what I've said. I sat up on my chair and went near behind her seat.

“Never will I get tired of waiting for you Jhoanna Christine Robles, because I know to myself that you're worth the wait.” I sincerely said while hugging her from the back while she's just comfortably sitting on her swivel chair.
