Chapter 53 - Trip

Colet's POV:

The time has come. I woke up this morning filled with joy and excitement since Jhoanna promised that we would take a trip anywhere in Switzerland.

Even so, I rose from bed before she did. Just before waking her up, I quickly took a shower. I changed after that and went to the side of the bed where Jhoanna was still asleep.

She most likely remained up late to keep an eye on me last night. She frequently wakes up to see whether I'm okay or my breathing is stable.

She has shown an honest care for me ever since I woke up in the hospital. Even though she seems masungit and strikto, she actually holds a space for kindness and goodness deep within her.

I pinned the little strand of her hair that was on her cheek to her left ear.

Oh, what a face! Although she hasn't taken a bath, she is still rather stunning. Observing her face alone will never get old to me. I thought.

I watched her beautiful face for a few seconds, mesmerizing the true beauty of this person before waking her up.

“Babu, wakey wakey. Gising na ikaw.” I caress her cheek and gave a kiss to wake her up.

Jhoanna: “Hmmm. Later. Five more minutes please. I want to sleep more.” She complains and hugs a pillow.

“But you need to wake up.” I said forcedly and shook her shoulder.

Jhoanna: “Hmm. Anong oras na ba?”

“It is already 6:30 in the morning, Babu. Kaya bumangon ka na.”

Jhoanna: “It's to early. Mamayang 8 nalang ako babangon.”

“What!? No way, Babu. You need to wake up. I already took a shower na oh.”

Jhoanna: “Who told you to take a shower this early ba kasi?” She spoke irritatedly while her eyes are still close.

“But you said last night we're going on a trip wherever I want today. That's what you said.”

Jhoanna: “Yeah. I said that, Babu.” She said, sounded like a sleepy kid.

“So get up there na so we can leave para marami tayong mapuntahan.”

Jhoanna: “But I didn't tell you to take a bath this early, Nicolette.”

“Napaka-KJ mo talaga, Babu. Let's go for a trip, now. Bumangon ka naaa!”

I complained to her. Hindi ako magkakamali na sinabi niya talaga kahapon na aalis kami ngayon para mamasyal. Ang aga-aga kong naligo para dito tapos tutulugan niya lang ako?!

“Nicolette, it's too early pa. The place won't run naman if we don't go to them early.” She opened her eyes for a moment but closed it again.

“So hindi ka talaga babangon dyan?”

Jhoanna: “More minutes pa.” She requested.

“Alright, I'll just undress here.” I threatened her but she didn't move or react a bit.

Jhoanna: “Bakit ka naman maghuhubad? At dito pa talaga sa harapan ko?!”

“Ayaw mo naman umalis so doon tayo sa plan B, which is cuddle all day nalang. Well, I find this place romantic for making love anyways.” So she opened her eyes again and looked at me as if she was estimating what I have said whether I was joking or not.

She didn't move, so I grabbed the end of my shirt to start taking it off. But before I could even lift it, she started talking.

Jhoanna: “Oo na! Ito na! I'm going to get up and take a shower, just shut your madaldal na bunganga.” She got up and took a towel straight to the bathroom. But before she closes the door, I spoke.
