Jhoanna's POV:

Upon arriving at the mall, we immediately headed to the reason why we came here. I needed to buy toys for the kids at an orphanage supported by our company.

So here we are at Toys R Us, selecting toys for the children.

While choosing toys, I could clearly see Jasmine's eyes light up at the array of toys surrounding us.

She became even more delighted when she noticed a toy that was a chick that needed to be assembled into a figure. She really loves chicks. Parang ako.

“Ang cute noh. Do you want that?” I asked her while both of our eyes were glued to the cute toy chick.

She then looked at her Mama before turning her gaze on me. Wala man lang ka-react react ang kapatid nito.

Jasmine: “Sana po, but it's expensive.” Then she pouted. It feels like just a moment ago she was so happy looking at the toys as we passed by.

I wonder how it is for children who are orphaned and wandering the streets? It's heartbreaking because they are deprived of their childhood.

Colet: “Mag-iipon muna si Mama, Baby. We'll buy everything you want next time, I promise. Okay?” She promised. Cheering the kid up while her thumbs were up, but Jasmine just kept on staring at the toy.

“Hmm Colet, una na kayo ni Baby Ja sa Shakey's. Order na kayo, ako na bahala dito.”

Colet: “Sure ka? Andami mong binili, baka kailangan mo ng kasama bitbitin 'yan lahat.” She asked with a concern tone.

“It's okay, ipapadeliver ko nalang lahat ito sa mismong place. I just need to pay for all of these toys. Mauna na kayo.”

Colet: “Okay, sige. Tara na, Baby. Let's order your favorite food.” She bid her goodbye before I turned my back on the cashier.

After paying for the toys, I quickly went to where Jasmine's favorite toy was displayed. I grabbed it and headed to the nearest cashier to pay for the other toys.

Cashier: “Ma'am, kasama po ba ito sa mga ipapadeliver niyong toys?” She asked while scanning the barcode of the toy.

“Ahhh, no. Paki-bukod nalang. Thank you.” I said and paid for the toy.

I quickly made my way to the dining area where Colet and Jasmine were seated. As I approached, I immediately noticed the siblings.

I couldn't help but feel curious for a moment because Colet was frowning while looking at the kid, whom she wasn't paying much attention to, while Jasmine seemed sad. Perhaps they had a disagreement about the toy. Colet had been quiet since earlier, just watching Jasmine.

“Have you ordered na ba?” I asked them as I sat beside Colet while Jasmine's in front of us. Both of them looked at me in sync. Magkapatid nga.

Colet: “Yes, five minutes nalang ise-serve na nila.” I looked at Jasmine's face but her expression is still the same.

“What happened? Bakit ang tahimik niyong dalawa?” I whispered para hindi marinig ng bata.

“It's nothing. Don't mind us.” She coldly said. Mukhang galit, magkapatid nga talaga.

“I hope my gift can make you smile.” I said, as I took the toy I bought earlier and immediately placed it in front of the kid.

Her facial expression earlier was back. The face wherein it contains a full excitement and happiness. For me, it is so heart melting to see kids smiling on simple things.
