Jhoanna's POV:
Five months have passed since Colet was shot. Migo is now in prison, and he will remain in prison for his actions. Thus, the threat to both Colet's and my life has ceased to exist.
Colet is doing great, and we've been going on trips to different famous places. She still lives with me in my condo, and she's been working at the company for a month now. Even though she's not my secretary anymore, she's still a valuable part of the team.
I appreciate her fresh ideas and business skills at the company. Her role goes beyond just secretarial work. Lately, I've been busy with work and preparing for a charity dance competition that happened two weeks ago.
After two weeks of practice, the big competition day has finally arrived. Today is the last day of the five-part charity dance series.
The turnout at the Philippine Arena has been amazing, reminding me of the College Dance Competition and bringing back similar feelings.
Maybe the audience or fans will come because this is the final charity game between our rival group and our former college.
I unexpectedly found myself facing a big crowd and being interviewed live on TV, which I didn't know about beforehand.
My friends thought it would be funny to push me into the interview since I had just arrived and didn't know what was happening. I was surprised and caught off guard by the situation. Their laughter got louder as I was picked for the interview. It was only when I saw myself on the big screen, live across the country, that I realized what was going on.
My friends love teasing me, but even with the camera on, I managed to stay calm.
Mga walang hiya talagang mga kaibigan, brace yourself for the closure of all your businesses. I silently thought.
Ironically, it seems the tables have turned. Now it's me who needs to get ready and survive this interview, especially since Trish, a close friend, is the event's host.
Trish: “Good afternoon, everyone! Welcome to the Battle of the Comebacks. We are live at ABS Sports and Action. Hello, Patrick, my partner, and Jhoanna.”
Patrick: “Good afternoon, Trish. And hello, Jhoanna. It's great to have you here today!” I simply nodded in response.
It's worth noting that Patrick had been a renowned host within the dance community since our college days, a role he still holds.
Trish: “We're incredibly lucky to be joined by the BEST leader of the Philippine Dance Community, Ms. Jhoanna Christine Robles.” Her excitement was palpable, prompting applause from the fans as they had a clue on what was the content of our current conversation.
“Thank you, Trish. HAHAHA I still can't wrap my head around being labeled the 'best leader'.” I'm a bit embarrassed talking to the hosts.
Trish: “You were truly amazing, Jhoanna. Your impact on the Philippine Dance Community is as significant as your achievements in the business world. There's no doubt about it. Your impressive resume reflects your accomplishments both as a dancer and a businesswoman.” I just smiled because I wasn't sure how to respond to such a heartwarming comment about me.
I've read similar things in articles or news before, but hearing something like that in person is still incredibly moving.
Trish: “Now, let's discuss the upcoming dance competition against your long-standing rivals. This competition holds immense importance, not only due to the large number of fans that are watching now but also because it marks the final of five charity dance competitions. What are your thoughts on this?”
