Chapter 36 - Mornings

Colet's POV:

I woke up early than usual. As in sobrang aga talaga, and my eyes refuses to go back to sleep.

Then, I take a look at the person beside me. She's in a deep slumber. She has the most angelic face when she's asleep. Because of that, I can't resist myself on giving her a peck on the lips. Then, smirk afterwards.

Yes po, opo. Mannerism ko po ang halikan ang labi niya.

Imbes na panggigilan ang labi nito dahil baka magising siya, napag-isipan ko nalang na bumaba para magluto ng umagahan.

Before I went downstairs, I grabbed a pillow for her to hug. Wala lang, ang cute kasi niyang tingnan. Parang baby.

Simpleng breakfast lang naman ang inihanda ko. Fried rice, sunny side up eggs, bacons, pancakes, coffee, and milk.

After preparing everything, I quickly went upstairs to wake the two of them up. Of course, I checked on Jhoanna first before Jasmine.

Entering the room, she was still in the same position. She was sound asleep, her face peaceful as she hugged the pillow. I allowed myself to gaze at her for a few minutes before gently waking her up.

After having my time on staring at the most gorgeous face I've ever seen, I started to tap her cheeks slowly. Ngunit hindi pa rin ito nagising.

I had the urge to run my thumb on her lower lips and feel the softness of it. Damn this kissable lips!

Since it didn't wake her up, I slightly gave a tap and even moved her shoulders to wake her up. Buti nalang nagmulat na ito ng mata.

“Rise and shine, Sleepyhead.” I greeted before pinching her left cheek. But she swatted it away immediately.

Jhoanna: “Stooop. I'm still sleepy!” She said on her grumpy and morning voice. Sumisingkit-singkit pa ang mata nito habang humihikab bago bumalik sa pagkakayakap sa unan.

“Wake up na, Sleepyhead. The sun is greeting you a good morning! The sun also said that you need to give me a morning kiss, Babu.” I excitedly said kaya naman bigla itong nagmulat ng mata at bigla akong hinampas ng unan sa mukha.

Jhoanna: “Oh ayan, unan. 'Yan ikiss mo! Nananaginip ka pa yata eh.”

“HAHAHA totoo nga yung magbiro ka na sa lasing, 'wag lang sa bagong gising.” She just rolled her eyes that made me even laugh harder.

“Get up na and eat your breakfast. Or baka mas gusto mong dito nalang tayo sa bed at magcuddle all day? I think the latter's the best idea.” I jokingly said kaya naman dali-dali itong tumayo at dumeretso sa banyo.

Hindi rin naman ito nagtagal at lumabas na rin naman agad ito sa banyo. Then, I immediately blocked her way after she closed the bathroom's door.

Agad naman ako nitong tinarayan, tila nagtataka sa mga kinikilos ko. Kailangan kong maningil.

Jhoanna: “What?” I just flashed my teasing smile before crashing my lips on hers.

She might have struggled and protested at first, but I firmly held her neck to prevent her from escaping.

Despite her attempts to push me away, I persisted and gently kissed her lips, silencing any objections she might have had.

Slowly, she began to reciprocate, following my lead with each movement.

When we both ran out of breath, I finally pulled away, pressing our foreheads together in a moment of quiet understanding.

We we're both catching some air. Kahit sa paghinga ay sabay na sabay kami. There's a little space between us, and upon realizing the same tempo of our breaths, I hugged her tight to feel if her heartbeats are also same as mine. It's perfectly in sync.
