Chapter 3 - Her fave

Jhoanna's POV:

I just arrived at the office and immediately assigned a task to my annoying secretary because I needed to attend an important meeting.

The meeting was originally scheduled for lunchtime, but I decided to move it up because I had to go home. My parents and Lola invited me for lunch at our house. Of course, they are my top priority, so I need to finish the meeting today.

I even canceled my afternoon meetings to have more time with my family and because of the tech department's incompetence.

I'm Jhoanna Christine Burgos Robles, 22 years old, and I am the youngest CEO in the Philippines. I just graduated, and I've only been handling the company my parents passed down to me for almost 8 months.

You might be wondering about my young age, well, I'm just accelerated. While I was studying, I also learned about the company because I don't want to waste what my parents started. That's why I treat my employees this way.

For me, there's no room for mistakes. I don't allow anything mediocre. I can't be kind because people might take advantage. I can't be generous because people might deceive me. And above all, I can't be weak to survive in this world.

I'm in my company's car, heading back to my office since it's already 3 pm. I need to check the letters because just by the look on my secretary's face, she doesn't seem trustworthy.

Remembering her, I still can't believe her attitude towards me, her boss. Out of the 65 secretaries I've had, she's the only one who's so full of herself. She's so shameless just because she has connections with Lola.

She's just so lucky because aside from having Lola's support, I'm too busy to notice her behavior. Humanda ka talaga Nicolette, I'll make you leave my company as soon as possible!

When I arrived at the office, I immediately went to my desk where everything I assigned to my secretary was laid out.

"Did you finish everything I ordered you?" I asked her while reading through each letter, looking for mistakes I could point out.

Colet: "Yes, Boss!" She confidently stated. Kainis, wala akong mahanap na mali.

"Bring these letters kay Alexa at bumalik ka agad dito." I ordered her and she obeyed to deliver the letters.

After that, I started checking my schedules and updates about the company's performance. After a few minutes, my secretary returned with some papers in hand.

Colet: "Boss, pinamimigay ho ng accounting department. Need niyo daw pong pirmahan." She said, placing the papers on my desk.

"Inuutusan mo ba ako?" Raising my eyebrow at her. "I will sign these papers whenever I want dahil ako ang nasusunod sa kumpanyang ito. Sa ating dalawa, ako ang boss kaya 'wag kang feeling kung makapag-utos!" She really gets on my nerves. I feel irritated in her presence especially her face, also with her scent even though she smells nice. I really hate her!

Colet: "Bakit parang kasalanan ko? Inulit ko lang naman pinauutos ng Accounting department. Dami agad ebas eh." I heard her murmured. The guts of this girl!

"What did you just say?!" Jho, kalma. Hindi niya deserve ang oras mo.

Colet: "Ang sabi ko ho, ikaw ho ang boss, ang CEO, ang kataas-taasan, iginagalang, at katipun- at may kapangyarihan po kaya dapat hindi po kayo inuutusan po, opo. Hehe balik na po ako doon, 'di ko po kayo minamadali, wala pong expiration date yung papers." I just let her say whatever she wants because if I engage with her, she'll just answer back again. Magka-oras lang talaga ako, lagot ka sa akin.
