My headcannons

Bilbo always has mint humbugs in his coat pocket which he always offers out if he sees someone upset

Thorin is scared of heights, like he hates them with a passion but pretends nothing scares him

Dwalin and thorin have matching tattoos on their left thigh, its a tattoo of their axe and sword crossed with the words "forever" and "side by side" they got it as young dwarfs and now become somewhat embarrassed about it

Balin is a sucker for chocolate biscuits, like if you want to bribe him, chocolate biscuits are the way to go

When ori was young, he was raised by his older cousins, when dori found out about nori stealing he tried so hard to keep ori from knowing but it ended in ori wandering after nori as a child and ending up seeing a guard beating up nori for stealing, but it stopped when ori screamed so loudly everyone stopped to look even dori heard it from their house and nori got up quicker than anyones ever seen and comforted his sobbing and screaming little cousin before being yelled at by dori

Kili hates the dark and fili doesn't so kili will always stick by his brother when its dark just like he did as a small child, fili never turns his brother away even if he's in bad mood, he lets kili sleep beside him and will always lay his arm under kili's head so kili feels safe

Bifur always gets in trouble from bofur for making rude comments or even carving rude images into trees or wooden chunks to which he gets a row of bofur for, he once made a penis out of a chunk of wood and bofur threw it in the fire to which gloin shouted "great balls of fire"

Bombur hates making people upset because he has kids, and it reminds him of them, if he does make you upset he will make your favourite meal and leave it for you with an apology note

Thranduil's burn is much worse than he showed thorin, it blinded him which is why legolas is so quick to call things out but also rebel, thranduil relies on his elf hearing which is why he got so close to thorin as he couldn't see only smell hear and sense him

Thorin once rolled down a steep hill and crashed into a tree, balin and gloin were with him and didn't stop laughing for a good hour or so, despite thorins threats, the company could not get a word out of both dwarves for an hour, when they did it was patchy sentences and everytime they either looked at each other or thorin they burst out laughing

Being the oldest son of fundin balin fears that dwalin will do something stupid and feels it would be his fault for not stopping him, dwalin knows of this fear and routinely reminds balin he's safe, not being too reckless and not going to do something extremely stupid

Bofur is attached to his hat because it was his father's, which is why he barely takes it off out of fear of losing the last thing he got from his dad, bombur got his ladle from his dad as well

When fili and kili were young dwarrows they would hide in thorin's saddle bags in the hopes he would take them on quests but dis would always be frantically looking for them and draw kili out of his hiding spot because he didn't like seeing his mum upset

Ori, kili and fili were inseparable as kids, ori was regularly used to get things from tall shelfs as he was the lightest of the three, they once tried to steal bofur's cookie jar and got caught by dwalin who then became their lookout on the terms he got a share of their cookies

Bombur hated when people would pinch his cheek as a kid, it got to the point he would hide between bofur and bifur until the person left, eventually his brother and cousin caught on and regularly told people not to touch him

The boots that the dwarves wear with the metal capped fronts, they make the dwarves really clumsy, because their so heavy and big its difficult for them not to fall over then, thorin is notorious for falling in the worst places but fili is the one who has the worst falls regularly falling onto table corners or next to fires and what not

The first time bilbo tried to cut his hair around the company kili started to cry, balin froze, dwalin and thorin looked utterly devestated and the whole company didn't speak to bilbo until gandalf told them that hobbit men usually have short hair

After they reclaimed erebor, nori continued to steal only because he felt that if he didn't the money the three of them got would quickly run out and they would be back to how they were when ori was a child

Bofur is notorious for getting ill, if he gets too wet and stays like that for too long, if he doesn't stay warm enough, but because of this bombur knows exactly what to make when his brother is ill to make him feel better in a jiffy but can never make bifur feel better no matter how hard he tries
