Colby had just finished checking on his last patient before he went to the front desk to tell his receptionist, Renee, he was done. "Last one?" Renee asked turning around in her chair.

Colby nodded and drummed his fingers over the desk. "Yeah. She's getting her teeth cleaned. She should be done in ten minutes."

Renee nodded and Colby went to turn around before she stopped him with a cough. "So..." She said smirking up at him. "How's life? I heard from my husband that you may have a new woman..."

Colby chuckled and leaned against the wall next to her desk. "Jonathan tells you everything huh?"

Renee nodded and smiled. "Of course he does! I'm his wife. Pregnant wife, actually." She said patting her stomach. "But seriously, who is she?"

Colby smiled. "Her name is Rebecca. We met at her apartment, ya know when I found out Sarah was cheating. She was there because Sarah was with her fiancé..."

Renee gasped. "Oh my god! Jonathan didn't tell me that!"

"Yeah. She's a really good person and has an amazing personality. I really like her..." Colby said smiling.

Renee smiled. "I can tell. How long have you been seeing one another?"

"Three days." He said with a confident grin, before walking into his office, leaving Renee with a smile.

Once he shut the door, he took off his white coat and placed it on a hook before grabbing his phone and keys. He then grabbed his badge and clocked out, heading to his car.

After the girls had left for work, Rebecca cleaned up her room, and tried to organize her closet. Getting frustrated, she stopped and went into the kitchen only to realize the girls hadn't been grocery shopping. "Crap." She said pressing her forehead against the fridge.

Rebecca sighed and went back into her room to grab her shoes, keys, wallet, and phone before leaving the apartment. Once she got outside she got into her car and drove off to the store.

Thankfully, the store wasn't too busy, so she was able to take her time and pick out items that the girls could all eat. "And I thought I would never see you again." Rebecca then turned around to see Luke smiling at her. "Hey, Becky."

Rebecca sighed and put the box of popcorn in the buggy. "I'm not in the mood to talk to you, Luke."

Luke then walked closer to her. "I really don't care what kind of mood you're in. I wanna know why you haven't answered any of my calls."

"Because I don't want to talk to you. You cheated on me for, I don't even know how long, Luke. I really don't want anything to do with you." She said grabbing her phone to look at her list.

Luke then placed his hands on her buggy staring her straight in the eye. "Becky, I hope you know, she came onto me first ok? I still love you, heck I've always loved you and I still want to get married." He then moved one hand to touch hers, but she quickly pulled away.

Rebecca rolled her eyes. "Luke, I don't love you ok? And we will NEVER get back together so please leave me alone."

Luke then grabbed her arm trying to get her to face him again. "I'm sorry Becky, please. I want you back."

"Let me go." She said trying to pull away, but his grip never loosened. "Luke let me go!"

Her phone started ringing, making them both look down at her purse. When Luke saw who it was though, he cocked his head to the side angry. "Who is Colby, huh?"

Rebecca tensed up and tried to break from his tight grasp. "Luke it doesn't matter, let me go!"

"Who is Colby, Rebecca?!"

"He's a better person than you'll ever be. Now let me go before I call the cops!" She said staring him in the eye.

When her phone stopped ringing Luke let go and took a step back. He then shook his head and headed out of the store, leaving a frightened Rebecca in the aisle. She then grabbed the buggy and rushed up to the cashier to check out. As she was walking out of the store her phone started ringing again, but this time, she answered. "Hello?"

"Hey! I'm off work and was wondering if you wanted to have dinner together?" Colby said smirking across the phone.

Rebecca looked around as she walked to her car, afraid where Luke could be. Once she got to her car she opened the trunk and started putting the groceries in. "Uhm, yeah dinner sounds good." Her breath caught when she saw Luke in his car behind her.

Colby must have heard her breathing unsteadily, "Becks, are you ok?"

Rebecca then slammed the trunk of her car after putting the groceries in. She then turned around to put the buggy up and saw Luke staring at her. "Rebecca? What's wrong?"

Rebecca then walked to the drivers side of her car and got in, pressing the lock button three times. "I'm sorry. I'm at the grocery store and..." She then turned her car on. "I'm heading back to the apartment."

"Alright. Are you sure you're ok?" Colby asked concerned.

Rebecca sighed. "Yeah. I'll tell you about it over dinner. I'll be there soon."

"Okay. I'll be there in about an hour. I need to go home and change out of my scrubs." He then chuckled. "I'll see you soon, soulmate."

Rebecca smiled. "I'll see you soon."

She then turned off her phone and laid it down. She looked in her rear view mirror and saw Luke still watching her. She ignored him though and drove away, checking every once in a while to make sure he wasn't following her. She then let a tear slip out, knowing this wasn't going to be the last time they came face to face, because he would do anything—and everything—to get his way.
